Graetful for 1 year sober !

Saturday I reached 1 year sober. Prior to this the furthest I ever made it was 7 months. I am so grateful for a wife and family that never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself. I have an inner peace that I have not known for many, many years. Even drinking fairly heavy once or twice a week affected my mood all the time. I only realized this after several months sober. A year ago I accepted the "fact" that I could never beat my alcohol addiction - a few days later I was done !

Today I am at peace, I am happy, I love more, I have self pride and I am once again a reliable person. I am so very grateful !
