I thought that I could revisit the past and invite an old flame over for an evening, I bought him vodka and a joint and watched him partake... He seemed alittle bit put out because I wouldnt take a shot or smoke with him, but I was like no I dont do that anymore... Well needless to say, I watched him pass out in my bed and I ended up watching the end of the movie we were watching... With not so much as a smooch... WT heck... I kept the vodka in the freezer for a few days til I finally poured it down the drain because it was to much of a distraction... Oh well, maybe I can meet somebody at an AA meeting...

Everything happens for a reason, Indio. By the way, I think the prevailing wisdom in AA is that you have to hold off a year before you date.

Indio, do you really want to be with someone who needs/likes to get liquored up or loaded? Now might be the best time getting to know yourself and meeting new folks. I think it's best to develope some new interests and give yourself time to get stable sobriety. My judgement wasn't the best in my early sobriety. Give yourself time.

Take up some new hobbies or interests for the time being.
