Can you go into a treatment center? You can stop if you want it bad anough, the being sick part passes. I know how you feel right now, alone and afraid. Best bet is to seek professional help. If you do not have that option, maybe family can help? You are not alone, we are here for you at sober recovery!

Quitting isn't easy, but neither is using. I know you need to work to support your kids, but how much of that money you are making is going to drugs?

There are lots of places to start. I just Googled San Antonio Drug Rehab centers and found about 20 places. Maybe give that a try. Go in and get an assessment and see what options are out there for you. If inpatient will not work why not outpatient? If you have insurance they usually cover a lot of it OR the money you are saving on drugs can be put to good use there (they will usually work with you on payment plans). If you can get yourself into detox for 5-7 days that would be a great start. Find some local NA meetings. Find a local addiction specialist / therapist. If you really want it the tools are out there for you. It just takes some determination and the realization that you can't and don't want to live like that anymore.

Let us know how it goes. Take Care!

I too, have to work and wanted to come off Oxycodone. I am usuing Short Term Disability for about 4 weeks and it seems they are approving it due to the severity of my continued symptoms. I didn't even need to tell my work why I was going out.. I just told them it was a medical issue.
If you can't get into a treatment center, you should definitly be under a Dr. care. They can prescribe you stuff to help control the symptoms (anti-anxiety, anti-nausea, etc...)

Great job on your decision. Sounds like you are ready to make a change.. for me, it was easier to set a quit date a few weeks out.. prepared through my work and mentally.
