Winter, oh how I didn't miss you

Are there any sufferers of SAD here?

I live in WI and the snow is now on the ground and intends to stay until next spring. I want to try to do everything I can to manage my winter depression so I don't think drinking is a better option than living depressed when February gets here.

Here's my list of defense tactics:

Upped my citalopram by a half a dose
use my SunBox lamp 30min a day, 5 days a week
exercise, it's on my list, I just suck at consistency right now
eating right, another thing that's on my list and I don't do consistently
vitamins, right now just a women's one-a-day type

Is there anything else you do to help with winter depression? I can tell it's starting to gnaw on my motivation already and making me want to sleep like a bear in hibernation. lol

I'm a movie buff so my big hobby is watching movies. I believe I have the winter depression also, on top of the 'garden variety' depression.

Even the dogs get cabin fever if we can't get out for a few days. I was thinking of getting one of those lights that is like sunlight, but those lamps are so expensive I can't afford it.

Oh yea, I certainly suffer for S.A.D. I'm self-employed so when the time changes I have to make an effort to be outdoors more often when it's light.
