When you guys first got sober were you wishing time would pass by quickly so you'd feel better? It's been 3 months sober and 4 months since I've done a perc, how was this period for you guys?

Yes. It was hard. A day felt like a week. A week felt like a month.
I've found that I do best if I stay really busy, go to things I have planned to go to (no excuses), and most of all get outside and get some exercise if possible. The exercise part does more good than anything else I have tried.

Both.
If I don't exercise every day, I feel generally lethargic. That may just mean a brisk 20 minute walk every day. No "runner's high" after that, I just feel better.
But when I get on my mountain bike and do a 2 hour ride, I feel wonderfully tired and mellow when I get back. It took awhile to get it back, but it's back now.

Exercise was and is key for me. When I was using opiates I sropped working out for those couple years, so to fill the void of using I began immdiately lifting and running again....every day...no excuses. Also started going out with friends and even just going to places and walking around.
