Update

[BThought I'd stop by with an update on my son. I got him in to see "the" psychiatrist that we've been trying to see since Jan. The appt. was 2 weeks ago. Unfortuantely the new pdoc was a no show. His house had been shot up and he was in hiding. So we saw a semi retired guy I'd never heard anyone mention.

Again, massive changes to the meds. He took him off of lithium, propananol, clonopine(sp) and something else I've forgotten. He tapered him off of zyprexa and tapered him onto abilify. He doubled his zoloft.

It's been a great 2 weeks. My son's been more functional and more himself than anytime in the last 4 months. He's sleeping normal hours. He even went out yesterday and got a job. But he's started complaining, he's depressed he's anxious. He says he's been having these feelings for a week. For myself I can only see a change in the last 2 days.

We go back to the Dr. today.

hi Easeful -

well - we take it one day at a time around where I'm at.

He's talking ...
He's more 'normal' than before ...
He got a job....

those are amazingly good things.

The anxiety and fearful COULD be 'sides' of any meds -
be sure he asks his doc about that.
IN other words - the meds may be making his stomach jittery and it's being physically 'interpreted' as panicky...
just so he tells the doc.

That's good news realy!
