AA convention in my town this weekend
And it will be the first one I've ever gone to. I've already been told to expect a "super concentrated dose of spirituality". What else should I expect there? A lot of fellowship I'm sure and good speakers. Blessed and grateful to be going, the only other time I considered it, I decided to be a drunk instead.

don't expect anything. expectations lead to disappointment.
perhaps the best thing for me to remember is that my serenity is inversely proportional to my expectations.the higher my expectations, the lower my serenity. I can watch my serenity level rise when I discard my expectations.

Hi Brian316, conventions are cool. The count down will be very cool on the last night. Plus over a 1000 people maybe more not sure saying the Serenity Prayer is really special!
