You can start whenever. The day is not over yet, one healthy choice will make all the difference. :-)

I'm in and plan on posting here frequently.

Currently trying to find balance between extremes.

Goal for the day is 30 mins cardio, strength training, and consuming at least one healthy well-rounded meal.

I am in , I will post later what I do today.

OK I'm in too. Been doing Weight Watchers for over three years and have lost a lot but recently, just before coming on here, I was trying to make it work while consuming an average of one-and-a-bit bottles of wine per day (and often much more) - surprisingly, this did not seem to work too well! Since quitting, bloat has disappeared and have lost 2lbs. Ran 4 miles yesterday (OK that was November), swam 1km today and 1hour fitness class. Been finding a lot of excuses to avoid this kind of thing, despite being an exercise addict (can you be one of those in a good way?) recently until I quit drinking. Return to exercise routines is just one of the great side-effects of this.

I'm in too! I drank lots of water and cranberry juice today and I did yoga for 45 minutes. :)

Deniselarkin 12-01-2014 03:54 PM

My goal is to hit at least 10,000 steps a day on my FitBit tracker. Plus, eat cleaner. I just feel better when I do.

Pancakes for dinner?! Don't knock em til ya try em!

Blend the following in a blender until smooth:
1/2 c. Dry oats
1/2 c. Yogurt (nonfat vanilla rocks)
1 egg or 1/4 c. Egg whites/substitute
1/4-1/2 c. Unsweetened almond milk (or your favorite type)
Optional: 1 TBSP ground flax, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. baking powder for fluff
*Blend the oats alone first to make oat flour. Then add the rest of the ingredients.

This made 3 big pancakes. And yes, I ate all three with sugar-free syrup and not a smidge of guilt. :)

I'm excited about this thread! It's day 52 for me and I need to shake the daily Icecream and chocolate. Be well, SR friends!

I'm in. Went to the gym for an aerobics class and am drinking gingerbread rooibos.

I'm in. I quit coffee on November 1 and avoided processed foods all month until Thanksgiving. I decided to let go for the day (sugar) but it turned into the whole weekend. Yesterday I made fudge and two kinds of cookies. I dropped ten pounds in a month and gained five in four days!!! Today I start anew. All the sweets were tinned for presents and I'm back to good food. One whole month now without coffee, though I'm still drinking tea. When my stash at home runs out I'm going to try no caffeine. I figure that will be around January 1. More walking, more yoga, more meditation... Let's do this.

Haha. OklaBH, you're not alone. I just enhaled half a pumpkin pie.
But trying to focus on the positive I walked my dog for a half hour today. Also, using my saved money from not buying alcohol, I joined a local farm share club. I get a huge bag of local organic farm veggies every week! I have a veggie stew brewing on the stove, smells amazing.

Ate high protien break fast, chicken breast and veggies for lunch, slice meatloaf and greens for dinner. Plenty of water vitamins and much to my amazement rode 20 mins on the stationary bike. Must confess I ate the last slice of pumpkin pie( felt like crap) but used cbt and focused on all the good healthy choices outweighed the bad. I haven't purposely excerised in years! Thx for the thread hopes its helps with the part of my sober plan to take better care of my physical health. I really want to work on cutting coffe out. Another bad habit that came from drinking. I never drank coffe until I started rehab hopping.

PaulinaPolitely 12-01-2014 10:31 PM

I walk my dogs a lot, however they do not like below freezing temps, poor tings...so when they snuggle in, so do i.

Love the thread, I'm in!

Jsbodhi 12-02-2014 12:10 AM

Cooked enough for 2 days instead of eating out.
No sugar in coffee.
Plant shake with almond milk.
Need to drink more water!

Erratic 12-02-2014 02:04 AM

Well I walked my dogs this morn then took one of my dogs to the shops. I'm working overtime at work this Afo. So that's a good thing. I also need to drink more water and also eat something.

Deniselarkin 12-02-2014 04:29 AM
