90 Days of Healthy Habits Challenge

I figured I would start this thread for all of us who now want to incoorporate healthier habits while quitting the unhealthy ones. Since today is December 1st, why not start today!?!?!

Alcohol has made me gain a ton of weight & neglect (errr...abuse) my once fit body. For the next 90 days I want to incorporate exercise & better diet to jumpstart this weight loss.

Who's with me? We don't have to do any weigh ins or anything like that. Let's treat this thread like our other class threads. Everyone posts their healthy habit victories!

So let's start!!!

:exercise1:Squat:

JT0626 12-01-2014 07:15 AM

So far today, I have drank 40 ounces of water.

Erratic 12-01-2014 07:52 AM

I'm in

I haven't really done anything healthy today unless walking my dogs is one?

I think this post is a great idea x

You weren't on the couch, so that totally counts! I count walking my dogs as exercise, so should you! ;-)

Been working on my "learned helplessness". Looking at my problems as challenges I can find creative solutions to, instead of throwing my hands up and getting depressed. Nice idea for a thread.

I'M IN!

I walked 10 miles (2.5 miles per day) over the past 4 days, drank tons of water and juiced! (made juices with lots of fruits and veggies)!

twentyfive 12-01-2014 08:12 AM

I'm in. I only eat healthy now and walk a lot.

Yeah, I'm in, great idea !

I 'm down with a heavy cold at the moment, but I've drank lots of water today, and for dinner I'm having fish and vegetables.

Tomorrow I hope to report some yoga activity and maybe a walk.

snowbunting 12-01-2014 09:16 AM

Great thread, I'm in! You've actually reminded me that I've been a bit lazy in the last few days, so I was prompted by this thread to practice my ashtanga yoga sequences. I feel much better now!

Now I'm going to try to make a healthy lentil loaf for dinner :)

JT0626 12-01-2014 10:17 AM

Drank another 20 ounces of water! :dance1:

Jsbodhi 12-01-2014 10:18 AM

I'll join too.
I plan to drink a ton of water, eat healthy, do yoga and meditate, I'm getting really bad anxiety.
I also want to lose some weight and drinking has not allowed that to happen. I'm hoping some of it drops off like others. Though the bloat is gone from my face, stomach and neck.
My eyes are also clear today, not foggy like they have been. My eyes used to look foggy only one day after drinking, now it's taking longer.

Soberwolf 12-01-2014 10:18 AM

Sorry about the 4 posts

Well done JT

Oh are we supposed to tell the healthy things we did today?
Haha, I was just whining.
Ok, so far I'm having an herbal tea, and going to have a plant shake (vega) with almond milk.
I didn't put sugar in my coffee.
I'm going to cook a healthy lunch/ dinner.

LOL!!! Whining is allowed too....we all have to vent one way or another.

But, yeah, post your healthy victories!

Good for you on no sugar in your coffee & your vegan shake!:a122:

You can start whenever. The day is not over yet, one healthy choice will make all the difference. :-)

newhope01 12-01-2014 11:48 AM

I'm in and plan on posting here frequently.

Currently trying to find balance between extremes.

Goal for the day is 30 mins cardio, strength training, and consuming at least one healthy well-rounded meal.

Deniselarkin 12-01-2014 12:45 PM

I am in , I will post later what I do today.

CristinaN 12-01-2014 01:01 PM

I'm in!!!! Whole 30 eating plan and workouts 5 days a week. :)

Pixie30f 12-01-2014 02:43 PM

OK I'm in too. Been doing Weight Watchers for over three years and have lost a lot but recently, just before coming on here, I was trying to make it work while consuming an average of one-and-a-bit bottles of wine per day (and often much more) - surprisingly, this did not seem to work too well! Since quitting, bloat has disappeared and have lost 2lbs. Ran 4 miles yesterday (OK that was November), swam 1km today and 1hour fitness class. Been finding a lot of excuses to avoid this kind of thing, despite being an exercise addict (can you be one of those in a good way?) recently until I quit drinking. Return to exercise routines is just one of the great side-effects of this.

aistar 12-01-2014 02:51 PM

I'm in too! I drank lots of water and cranberry juice today and I did yoga for 45 minutes. :)

Deniselarkin 12-01-2014 03:54 PM

Ok I drank more water , took vitamin a, b100, c,d,e, milk thistle, and I did not over eat.

lotsofcoffee 12-01-2014 03:56 PM
