Sorry that your folks are not in good health Toots. My folks are both into their 80's and any health issue is magnified greatly because of this. I hope you continue to find the strength to plug along and help when possible.

Toots, sending you hugs today. My Mom also had a bad cough for a few years that could never be diagnosed. Luckily, it went away shortly after she moved in to her current home. Now the doc thinks it was probably stress related, what with my Dad's illness and all of that. Hope things improve for your folks.

Toots, sending well wishes for your mom and dad. It's hard watching as parents get older and decline. Just be there for them. That is the best thing you can do is just to share the time together.

Actually, I just missed it by a few hours. I was born at 2:38 AM on January 2. There was a baby born at the same hospital about 10 PM on January 1, so my parents missed out on the local newspaper's prizes (diapers, etc) given to the first baby of the New Year (luckily, they never held it against me)!

You were enough of a prize in yourself, FBL! :)
