I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you if my days are off. Math apparently is not my thing, although I use to like it. 2 years and 11 days. Was there a leap year in the past 2 years? LOL I think close counts!! ((Needtobesober)) I'm a smoker and heck, I can't even smoke in my own house. I'm out in the garage on this lap top!! LOL Don't smoke in the house because of the kids. Early on in my sobriety, I thought alcohol should be band. My husband may still think so. LOL Anyway, I learned that not everyone has a problem with it. Other people seem to be able to drink it as it was meant to be drank (what ever that is). I had to learn that I was different, that I don't drink like social drinkers. I wanted it all!! I was mad that other people could drink it and I couldn't. Heck, they didn't even really want it and I NEEDED it!! Alcohol will always be around us. I had to accept that and the fact that I no longer drink. If I am in a fit spiritual condition, I can be around alcohol. If I am not at peace with myself, I stay the hell away from it!! I was in a different (bigger) town the other day. I swear I found every beer joint in that town searching for a coffee shop!! I was a little irritated. Sad that we (alcoholics) don't have anywhere to go. But I just went to good ole Hardees and got me a cup of coffee. It takes time to be able to accept our thoughts and feeling. How we ARE different then others. I can spot a beer can on the side of the road, when other people don't even notice it. Hang in there, it does get better. |

Not Quitting Today I have to remind myself my glass is not half empty its half full, and that I have so much to be grateful for today, It is much to easy to moan and groan and that gets me too close to needing that duct tape!!!
