Yes ~ and I kicked a lot of goals this week. I now have passport, visa waiver thingy, insurance (it won't help my finger that much, but still very important), a ton of things I needed that I didn't have (ever, this is the first time in my life I have been able to buy myself 'stuff'), AND I booked two absolutely incredible hotels in New York and San Francisco. :) I showed the photos etc to Gilmer ~ apparently I have very good taste. :) :)

Now, I'm thinking about all of the meetings I can go to in so many different places. I'm going to look up AA in NY and SF so I have some ideas in advance. ♥

They are top-of-the-line hotels in magnificent spots. Your accommodations will be fit for a queen! Bask! Bask! :)

venuscat 09-09-2016 03:26 PM

^^^ :lmao

You know what impresses me most?

The fact that you can now spell "passport" on SR!

What happened? :)

venuscat 09-09-2016 03:41 PM

^^^ I KNOW.....too funny!!!!!

Kris47 09-09-2016 04:37 PM

I'm excited for you! Wish I lived in one of those spots. Would love to meet up with you.

I am going to be in Ohio for a bit Kris...a week or more. I have a lot of very special people there...I'm guessing that's maybe not too far from you, unless I've worked it all out wrong...so maybe honey, if you want, I could visit you. :)

In SF stay out of the cheesecake factory on the top of macy's ... unless you like giving yourself à challenge :)
Quartier Castro for a look at the Shop Windows alone is worth it.... Fishermans wharf, alcatraz... golden gate. Its a wonderful city. Enjoy :)

Kris47 09-10-2016 12:48 PM

Loved the Cheesecake Factory. lol

venuscat 09-10-2016 02:34 PM

If it were me, I'd skip Alcatraz. Not that it would renew old memories!:dee

Not following the admonition of Marie Antoinette! (And look what happened to her!)

Bill.

Actually, I do want to see Alcatraz. Because of the Birdman. :)
It's all about the movies for me....
And the Golden Gate....all my life I have wanted to see that beautiful piece of architecture in person.....and Sausalito, and oh, so many places....

Anna 09-10-2016 04:26 PM

Suze, you will love San Francisco and all it has to offer. I totally agree that it's worth seeing Alcatraz. I'm so glad to hear you excited about this trip of a lifetime.

venuscat 09-10-2016 04:27 PM

Thank you dearest Anna!! :) ♥

I grew up just a little south of San Francisco and spent a lot of time there. It is by far my favorite city. The Golden Gate Bridge is awesome from Fort Point at the Presidio.

venuscat 09-10-2016 05:21 PM

:) Thank you....

Pondlady 09-10-2016 05:25 PM

Be sure and walk across The Golden Gate Bridge ! Will you drive down the coast a bit? If you do, Carmel is gorgeous and the drive along the coast on highway 101 is breathtaking !

venuscat 09-10-2016 06:23 PM

I'm going to get the international driver's permit Kim, and I would love to do that drive, and Carmel is a definite, but I don't know if I can manage that on my own. So, yes, if one of my SR buddies is with me....or I guess there is a bus that goes down that road?

And absolutely doing the bridge walk. :)
