I wish I could stay for the PJ party but I promised that I would visit a friend's mother soon to see in the New Year - sober of course! :)

I will be in my PJs afterwards though...

Happy New Sober Year everyone!!

Thank you, Gilmer!

Love your idea about flattering steaks as a way to let some steam off)

Gilmer 12-31-2013 12:20 PM

How are you feeling, Toots?

stevie88 12-31-2013 12:31 PM

Hey gang....So new years eve is upon us...I'm working a 15 hour night shift as usual....Planning on smoking my last cigarette at 23.55 then the rest are going in the bin...This year I plan on getting as big as possible so that means heavy training and lots of eating.

MB you can throw a few steaks my way if you wish...I could really eat a nice juicy rare steak right now..

This year has been a tough year with it being my first year fully sober...I've had some testing times like we all have and I hope the new year brings us all some happiness.

Take care gang....Steve.

stevie88 12-31-2013 12:34 PM

And Dotty P I almost missed you there....Many congrats on one full year of sobriety....Amazing job well done.

MidnightBlue 12-31-2013 12:36 PM

Hey, Stevie)

You can have a special NY stake)

I am absolutely determined to hit my target weight this year too - only I hate to lose 5 pounds)

Happy New Year, my boxing buddy!

dorothyparker 12-31-2013 12:37 PM

MidnightBlue 12-31-2013 12:44 PM

Happy New Year Badger. My first New Year sober too.

Thanks Steve for the link.

FG, sorry about that, my math was completely screwed. When it's 21h00 here, it will be New Year in Europe. ;)

Gilmer 12-31-2013 12:50 PM

Welcome, Badger!

Bubovski 12-31-2013 12:55 PM

Hi Undies.
It's New Year down under and maybe a time for further constructive planning.
Thanks to S.R, AA,& HP for helping me approach eight months without a drink.

There is much to be said for sobriety. The dull floundering indifference of alcoholism slowly gives way to really meaningful pursuits. That said, the risk persists, and vigelence is required.

Have a great and sober New Year!:nyaf

Gilmer 12-31-2013 12:56 PM

Happy Jan. 1, Bubovski. Nice to have you here!

walkingwithgod 12-31-2013 01:08 PM

Hi Undies, and Happy New Years Eve.

Day 281 for me. I left the office a little early, and came home to my daughter and wife making a cake. It will be a nice quiet New Years Eve, and that is fine by me. My wife has never seen Casablanca, so we will watch that tonight. Everyone at work was talking about drinking, and I tried to just ignore them.

2013 was a tough year, but also the year I got Sober. I couldn't have made it this far without all of you. You all hold a special place in my heart and prayers.

In 2014 I hope to keep my sobriety and family as my #1 priority. I am going to dedicate the upcoming year to work hard at eliminating debt. Also I need to drop some weight. I have found a new love for chocolate and junk food in sobriety.

I hope you all have a Sober evening.

God Bless,
Matthew

Gilmer 12-31-2013 01:10 PM

Have a wonderful cozy time watching Casablanca, Matthew!

soberjim 12-31-2013 01:29 PM
