I am in, ready to start moving while recovering from surgery on Tuesday! The meds made me feel HORRIBLE! I didn't take any today and the headache is starting to fade. I am sober now for 34 days. :) Yay!

So. Workday done. Making dinner next, hang out with my madre a bit and head for home and partner about 7:00pm.

Thinking, analyzing and paralyzing about that 5-minute moving as soon as feet hit the ground in the morning. Hmmmmm.

Feel better soon Mel :)

If anyone wants to do a Thanksgiving themed weekender for next week - let me know - we usually start that one on the Wednesday or so.

Nice to see everyone!

I made it to the gym after work today, thank goodness.....Tomorrow and Sunday I work my part time job where it's non-stop motion, so by the end of my shift I'm exhausted. We'll see how it goes ~ either way I will not be drinking! :thanks

yay, my wife told me to stay home from work tomorrow (we run a business) so I actually get a real weekend off.

I'm gonna play video games all day long and not worry about a thing!

Perfect tune selection!

Ok, I am home and will be in bed pretty darned soon. Took care of the dog and ... well, that is about it.

It is so great to have the company of weekenders. Welcome to new names! And thanks to the regulars for checking in. Does me a LOT of good.

See you tomorrow.

Well, I got to test out the morning exercise theory. After having dropped off my car at the shop, I got dropped off at the top of the neighborhood and walked ten minutes home.

Sure enough, my mind seemed sharper in attacking my homework: I thought of more angles and caught a lot of minor errors.

Then in the afternoon I had to run four errands in preparation for having guests for dinner. I parked at the first place, and when I got out my butt was really dragging.

I decided to walk across to the next store instead of driving.

Amazingly enough, just that small five-minute walk filled me with enough energy that I honestly wasn’t worn out anymore!

I don’t know who Jocko is, but I think he’s on to something. I do a lot better in my mental, emotional, and spiritual equilibrium when I stick loosely to a regular schedule.

I always knew discipline was a good thing, but until this week’s thread I didn’t realize that my motivation was not the only motivation that waned. Everybody’s does sooner or later!

But MB, you’ve opened my eyes: when the motivation drops off, it is discipline that steps right in to pick up the slack!

It also helped me to know that you also hated and dreaded your workouts at the beginning. I always thought you just must’ve been born with the exercise “gene!”

Let’s just say that I am being greatly surprised and enlightened this weekend...

Hi, weekenders!

Great to see new new faces!

I've overslept again, so have just enough time to get coffee and get myself ready for workouts.

See you)

I'm in for a sober weekend! I really love what people have said in this thread and a lot of your signatures, such as live in the solution! I accept and embrace the fact that I won't drink and I don't drink and I don't think it stinks lol. I would definitely move this weekend. I just bought a steam mop and you know you're a mom when you're excited to try out a steam mop for the first time lol. I had kind of a painful experience earlier today don't really feel like getting into details but I was basically reliving some hurt from being let down as a child. I guess it's okay to have a good cry once in awhile. But I'm not letting that stop me from anything and anyways I never really drank out of pain or stress, mainly celebrations. I also plan on jumping an invisible jump rope this weekend for 10 minutes. It is a really good workout you guys!
