Checking in.

19 hours continued sustained attention, including 139 files, ~85000 words, and 99 original figures. Still making final edits and uploads. Hope to be done before 5 a.m. East Coast time.

Congrats Courage!!

Were all you East Coasters awakened last night with a tornado warning sent to your cell phones? I thought it couldn't possibly be time to get up yet when it went off just before midnight. Fortunately, awoke to the house intact.

Have a good day all!

Star, glad you didn't blow away. We had some frost on the pumpkin this morning.

Heading off to another card show this morning. I've got several sets in the works, so am sure to find some goodies!

Have a great weekend, gang!

Sg -- No tornado warning here. Whatever last night, it's a lovely day here today.

I have to do a lot of catching up on this thread. Will go back and read --

glee, I know you're still waiting to hear on the job. I think this is something where the serenity prayer really makes sense.

Awoke at one point this morning to a drinking dream where I actually had a beer. It was funny to see the self rationalization I went through in my dream that it was no big deal and that it wouldn't lead me to full time drinking. Wonder if that is how I would react in real life? I started to reread Annie Grace's "This Naked Mind" before bedtime, so drinking was front and center in my mind as I was drifting off to sleep. This is a great book and highly recommended if you folks are looking for a good read. An employee at my job confided in me that he went out for the first time in twelve years recently, and I wanted to reread the book again before recommending it to him. Anyway, always happy to wake up realizing that it was only a dream.

Up at 2:20, nee 3:20, for work this morning. Good riddance, Daylight Savings Time.

Have a good day all!

Uh. I've been wrong by an hour all day. Thanks for the info, sg!

The NYC Marathon ran by my house this morning. Many hurrahs, much litter. Have to plan my day around this annual event because I have to walk 45 minutes to cross the street if I happen to leave during a big wave of runners. Probably, there's not an active alcoholic among them.

Have a good day everyone & enjoy that extra hour :)

The drawback of ending DST is that one is forced to be up an hour later than the body and mind want. Feel totally wiped this morning. TGIF.

Have a good day all!

Dee74 11-05-2018 03:27 AM

I hope that means you have two days off now SG :)
