Class of September 2013 - Part 24 |
Ooh, me first! |
1Step, I think your story is a total victory! From what you have described, I can't imagine you handling it any better. I am sorry she put you through that, but you should be incredibly proud. Even making everyone laugh and she apologized?!?! A+, my friend! |

Workoholic In no way is there any logic that you will relapse simply because your father did. Certainly you have his DRD2 genes (cousin gene to R2D2) but that is all ! You are doing very very well, just keep on with what you are doing ! |

We have filled up 23 threads at an average of 500 posts in each thread before Dee closes the thread. That means we have generated approximately 11,500 posts since September 1, 2013. :blah We have been posting for 4.5 months....equating to 137 days.....or 3,288 hours since our best effort began at sobriety. Some monkey math clicking here :c041: - there has been an average of almost 84 posts per day by our group, or 3.5 posts per hour since September started. If we assume an average of 4,500 views per thread times 23 threads, that's about 103,500 views of our posts. That can't just be only us looking at our posts. We have to be breaking some sort of SR record at some point. I think this group has much to say, and we are sending out some hefty wisdom and good karma into the universe. We rock!!! :bigok: |
:agree |
Lol, Lillian. Do you crunch numbers for work? I am sure I skew the page view stats. I click through and read often when struggling our looking for strength. :) |

:whoop I always miss this ! :( ------------------- I'm isolating, y'all. My sponsor called me and I am supposed be the one to to call her. I didn't call her back because I know she's gonna tell me to go to a meeting and I just can't!! :react As dumb as it sounds, I am much less inclined to go to a meeting when my hair isn't done. I went yesterday but it was terrible. The logical thing would be to do my hair, right? Well that takes an hour (to straighten it as I have naturally curly hair) and I just didn't feel like it today. I feel soo fat and my hair is not done and I didn't work out today and I think it's lady stuff but that is not a good excuse. I BLAME NUTELLA! I have been eating a LOT of it in the past two weeks, straight out of the tub with a spoon (ain't nobody got time for bread!)!! No bueno. I will pick myself up tomorrow. |
I definitely skew them :) D |
Brooksie this isolating houseboundness seems to be a regular thing for you lately - it seems so at odds with 'normal' Brooksie that I'm a little concerned. apologies if you've done this, but maybe seeing a Dr or a counselor could help? D |

D I think it has a lot to do with my weight gain. And SAD is in full effect. I just need winter to end ASAP! :gaah |
Lillian, I was thinking the something similar but without all the bothersome math (did I mention I used to be a writer?). The class of August 2013 has 9 threads; we have 24. Chatty McChattersons we are! But I am thankful because I, like Rochele, rely on this group to keep me on the straight and narrow daily. Keep on posting everyone! |
Kane, we are watching the Australian Open right now. I am looking for you in the crowds. Looking for the zenned out guy sipping a lemonade. |
Brooksie, I bet you can rock a ponytail, as beautiful as you are! I can identify with the isolating tendency and I always feel better when I can get out and be with people. |
Lommey, your earlier post (in response to 1Step, I think) really touched me. Thanks for sharing that. |
1step- you're not being too sensitive!! She was wrong and I'm glad she was able to admit it. It's great that you were able to deflect the negativity and make your girls laugh. You are such a kind hearted person and you are working so hard and you deserve credit for that! you are doing an amazing job, 1step! You are a good dad, you got your girls new clothes and you are sober and you avoided conflict when it was tugging at your coat tails and you have THREE MONTHS SOBER!!! :You_Rock_ |
I'll agree with that 1step :You_Rock_ |
Ok just talked to my sponsor. I'm taking my fat-feelin, busted-hair-having azz to a meeting in a 1/2 hour!! (Did I mention how fat and ugly I feel?) :gaah |
