Grateful for a patient & upbeat husband.
Grateful I didn't wake up at 3am w/worries & fears.
Grateful to know I'll dump this 20 lbs. I need to. (Probably should be more, but let's not get carried away )
Grateful for all your posts - the humor & positivity.

Fearlessat50 01-06-2021 09:57 AM

Grateful for Devs bukemia free milestone. You rock!
Grateful for Rusty’s wise words. Grant now. And the one about the flys and sugar. I always love that one
Grateful for Hev’s reminder Spring is coming
Grateful to remain open, flexible and positive
Grateful to make my focus this year on not reacting and being patient before responding, as well as acceptance

Hevyn 01-07-2021 10:47 AM

Dev - Fresh bread, my weakness. I use too much butter. :)
Grateful it's today & not yesterday.
Grateful to have all decorations put away in an organized fashion. (Not my usual haphazard job.)
Grateful to be able to find the good in almost everyone.

Grateful for the new thread, thank you Dee.
Grateful to be up at stupid o clock, just because I can't sleep and not because I've been drinking.
Grateful to find an old pair of emergency reading glasses even if I have to squint out of one eye to read. I've mislaid my proper ones!
Grateful for peace and quiet.
Grateful to be well.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful for happy memories of my dad, it would have been his birthday yesterday. Grateful also that his old cat ironically passed away yesterday, he was 20 and had an appointment to be p.t.s on Friday. Grateful that he went peacefully in his sleep. Heartbroken though all the same.
Grateful that home schooling is a lot more organised this time round.
Grateful for the serenity prayer.
Grateful for all of you.

Well done Devizes, 66 days now. Can't believe how fast that has gone. x

I hope your new mattress is comfy R.Z

Numblady 01-08-2021 03:57 AM

grateful to share the fondness for fresh bread and spring with you all.
Grateful to be settling in to the new job and getting the logistics of really working from home sorted. I know I’m late to that party but now I am here and can I just say sitting on a $20 folding IKEA chair does NOT work very well for full days of work.
Grateful to Dee for so many things, not the least of which is this new part.
Grateful to be reminded of my grandfather’s basement in their old house. My son wants to set up a fancy pegboard situation to store his nerf guns, which was how my granddad always stored tools. He had the hooks and then he drew an outline of the tool in question so he always knew where it went. We never would have had anything that organized in our house. I always marveled at it. Still do.
Grateful cheap coffee still tastes pretty good to me.
Grateful for this beautiful group and forums in general.

PalmerSage 01-08-2021 04:21 AM

Grateful for coffee!
Grateful that an early wake-up today reminded me of all the times I get to sleep later.
Grateful for telework.
Grateful for some good new habits that are starting to take root.
Grateful for a good conversation with my younger son last night, encouraging him and challenging him to do his best.
Grateful for former colleagues that are still good friends, and always come through for me.
Grateful for my sweet, patient dogs.
Grateful that my (almost) drinking dream from last night wasn't real.
Grateful to be sober.

Piotr 01-08-2021 04:37 AM

Grateful for talking, in person, to someone yesterday.
Grateful to remember that this too shall pass.
Grateful to be a bit more optimistic.
Grateful it not raining/snowing today.
Grateful for stretching, makes me feel better.

Grateful to read all your posts.
Grateful to be sober.

Grateful for 12 hours of sleep last night. :)

Hevyn 01-08-2021 10:31 AM

Daisy - RIP Dad's kitty. A blessing he went in his sleep.
RZ - Happy you are comfortable. Yes, budda - never too much budda. :yup:
Piotr - Nice that you had interaction - I'm out of practice!
Numblady - I feel your pain, sitting here on my cheap old office type chair that needs to be replaced. :) Don't even remember where I got it, but it's all wobbly & no support.
Grateful for optimism.
Grateful to be on good terms with those I alienated in the past.
Grateful for good intentions, even when they go astray.
Love to all - hope your day is going well. :grouphug:

When I was a kid, my best friend's mom made homemade bread often. As soon as a loaf was cooled enough to slice, she'd give us a slice with butter. :) :) Better than dessert. :)

Today I'm so very grateful for my critters and their devotion to me. Billie and Lily and Franny contribute to my well being every day. :)

Mags1 01-08-2021 08:05 PM

Daisy  sorry Tiger passed away.

Grateful to be sober
Grateful for all of you, be safe xx :grouphug:

Daisybelle 01-09-2021 02:21 AM

Grateful to be the only one up in the house at the moment.
Grateful for this short time to myself and the peace and quiet.
Grateful for a 2nd morning coffee.
Grateful for my big, pink, fluffy dressing gown, it's old but it's so warm and comfy.
Grateful for central heating and to have the fire on too for a short while ( or till Mr D gets up, lol).
Grateful I have enough food in my cupboards.
Grateful for all my 'have's.'
Grateful to be here with you all.

Keep safe xx

FBL 01-09-2021 03:35 AM

Grateful to realize that I need to make some long overdue changes to my diet and exercise routines. A little high cholesterol wake-up call!

Grateful for another day sober.

PalmerSage 01-09-2021 05:21 AM

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful I was able to get a haircut yesterday, for the first time in a year: Long hair to a short bob in no time flat, and an awesome scalp massage, too.
Grateful for great salads and also chocolate.
Grateful to recognize some unhelpful patterns in my thinking.
Grateful that I don't have to be perfect, or please everyone.
Grateful to remind myself that most things are out of my control.
Grateful to feel a little bit more organized than usual as I start the weekend.
Grateful to be sober.

Fearlessat50 01-09-2021 08:09 AM

Grateful for messages from my wonderful friend, least
Grateful for eight hours of sleep last night. Looking back, with exception of occasional bad nights, sleep has been one thing that has improved from the pandemic. With Mr F retired now, we sleep in until 6:19 am (strangely, our internal clock wakes us up exactly at this time most days). I have not been waking up in the middle of the night as I used to
Grateful the bread turned out amazing. I am learning how to increase the sourness. I’ve made two loaves now. Love Rusty’s reference to bread and buddha. A good business name would be The Bread Buddha. Perhaps in another life time 😊
((((Daisy))))
Grateful the collective good is coming through to fight evil forces
Grateful for my precious cogs. I need to spend more time with Charlie. Queen Daisy is getting all the love lately
Grateful to spend time on an art project today. Grateful to also go for a hike later
Grateful to schedule a therapy session for next week to work through grief

Rusty Zipper 01-09-2021 08:11 AM
