Grateful for happy memories of my dad, it would have been his birthday yesterday. Grateful also that his old cat ironically passed away yesterday, he was 20 and had an appointment to be p.t.s on Friday. Grateful that he went peacefully in his sleep. Heartbroken though all the same.

grateful to share the fondness for fresh bread and spring with you all.
Grateful to be settling in to the new job and getting the logistics of really working from home sorted. I know I’m late to that party but now I am here and can I just say sitting on a $20 folding IKEA chair does NOT work very well for full days of work.
Grateful to Dee for so many things, not the least of which is this new part.
Grateful to be reminded of my grandfather’s basement in their old house. My son wants to set up a fancy pegboard situation to store his nerf guns, which was how my granddad always stored tools. He had the hooks and then he drew an outline of the tool in question so he always knew where it went. We never would have had anything that organized in our house. I always marveled at it. Still do.
Grateful cheap coffee still tastes pretty good to me.
Grateful for this beautiful group and forums in general.

When I was a kid, my best friend's mom made homemade bread often. As soon as a loaf was cooled enough to slice, she'd give us a slice with butter. :) :) Better than dessert. :)

Today I'm so very grateful for my critters and their devotion to me. :hug: Billie and Lily and Franny contribute to my well being every day. :)

Grateful to realize that I need to make some long overdue changes to my diet and exercise routines. A little high cholesterol wake-up call!

Grateful I was able to get a haircut yesterday, for the first time in a year: Long hair to a short bob in no time flat, and an awesome scalp massage, too.

With Mr F retired now, we sleep in until 6:19 am (strangely, our internal clock wakes us up exactly at this time most days). I have not been waking up in the middle of the night as I used to
Grateful the bread turned out amazing. I am learning how to increase the sourness. I’ve made two loaves now. Love Rusty’s reference to bread and buddha. A good business name would be The Bread Buddha. Perhaps in another life time 😊
