Thank you. I'm too sad to even drink so at least I'll stay sober for today.

Anxiousrock, I am sorry for your loss. As Aly said, breathe, eat sleep; stick to the basics; don’t drink.

We are here for you.

thank you. I couldn't imagine ever being this upset in my life. I am defeated. I am trying to sleep but keep crying. I only ate a brownie today because I couldn't stomach anything.

(((anxiousrock))). It is okay to cry and cry and cry. We cry for a reason. Life can hand us some really difficult situations. We need to release our sorrow and grief; crying is a way for us to do that.

Be sure to stay hydrated.

Stay close. Sending love your way.

Samantha, so sorry of the passing of your cat. They’re part of the family so it hurts like heck when we lose our furbaby. I wrote a letter to one of my cats when he died because I felt so wretched that I wasn’t there with him. Sometimes putting down on paper helps.
Remember to breathe too. Regulating our breathing can help stress and settle our breathing down. I was told to breathe in and hold for 5 seconds and exhale slowly, repeat several times.

Kaily 07-12-2021 11:02 PM

So sorry for your loss Samantha. Pets break our hearts but give so much love. In time the pain will heal and the memories will be good.

Nice pictures Free, like you I love nature. I took my Dad for a little walk yesterday, I said 'look at the trees, aren't they beautiful', he said, 'Are they?' Then totally shut me down with 'No they're just trees.' Not everyone gets it.

Thanks for the support yesterday. My moods are so up and down, I struggle to keep up myself. I do hope I'm not a drain. It is therapeutic for me to share my drivel. You are all my online counsellors and I am very grateful. :wink3:

This is from my forest walk last week.

Morning Kaily. Don’t ever think you’re a drain. Keep writing and share your thoughts whenever you want. I love the trees. My dad would’ve said what your dad said. He wasn’t in touch with nature. That tree must have so many years on earth and many stories to tell, if you can hear the whispering trees.

saoutchik 07-12-2021 11:38 PM

Morning Weekenders, I'm sure you gave your cat a good life anxiousrock, hopefully you will be able to remember the good moments as well as his/her passing.

Sorry about your dad Kaily, old people can be very curmudgeonly sometimes.

Beautiful wilfflowers Free2beme, whatever they are.

There were flash floods in west London yesterday but where I live (on the east side) the rain was only light. Strange weather everywhere it seems.

Mags1 07-12-2021 11:44 PM

Saou, I haven’t heard that word in a long time. Curmudgeonly….brilliant word.

Kaily 07-12-2021 11:47 PM

Thank you Mags.

Ha I have never heard curmudgeonly before, Sao.

We had torrential rain here but no flash floods, well maybe very minor ones - big puddles

Kaily 07-12-2021 11:48 PM

Ditto Mags. :)

Willow00 07-13-2021 03:45 AM

I love the trees too Kaily. And I love your posts, please keep posting, about anything you want to. And that word seems like it describes your Dad to a tee. I agree with Sao and Mags, what a brilliant word :)

CaptainHaddock 07-13-2021 05:14 AM

I love the tree Kaily and am happy to be on your online counseling team. :)

Hi anxiousrock, I’m so sorry to hear of your cat. I was devastated when I lost a pet 7 years ago, but the sadness did turn into lots of fond memories. Do you still have any other pets?

My dad too has been acting a bit curmudgeonly of late. He decided with the passing of my mother to relocate to my sister and his grandchildren in Cape Town. Now everything required has to be done on the double, such as packing and selling his house. Mrs Haddock and I are assisting him with all of this and the winding up of my mother’s estate, which in some respects certainly requires some patience and a bit of restraint.
