Baby giraffe is here. (Along with an astonishing amount of amniotic fluid.) Now mama is working to get the calf on its feet.

I really ought to get moving here.

Good to see you bim, great timing.

The Giraffe has landed.

All the pain you are feeling is not your fault. You did nothing wrong when you were a child. Everyone in this forum has problems, especially me, and all are trying to heal. The specifics of your issue might require you to talk to someone who understands your situation more fully. My thoughts and prayers with you. I am not sure there is an emoticon for a big hug but I wish all the happiness in the world. Maybe look up a service near you that specialises in helping people in your situation. You can heal.

Wait. WHAT? April dropped her calf? Frikkin finally, poor thing.

*ets: the live stream is off. Everything turn out ok? I guess I have google, too.

**eets: Dawwwww! I see it! It's feeding, standing on its little wobble-legs. Excellent. So cute.

Made it through Friday night after a setback Thursday night. Day 2 again.

Have a great Saturday everyone

Hey yall! Just checking in.

SteveAlex 04-15-2017 09:57 AM

Im in!

Misc72 04-15-2017 10:13 AM

Bam just like that craving sets in. Dropped stuff off at son's dad's house and they have a full bar in the garage and getting ready to go out on the lake on their boat and party.

Misc72 04-15-2017 10:26 AM

His stepmother was going on about how they have an adult easter egg hunt where they hide beer instead of eggs. They are highly functional alcoholics. Never ever seem to over do it or have hangovers. It's just baffling

Welcome to Weekenders SteveAlex.

Try not to dwell on it sunshine, I can never remember which thread it is on but Dee has a link headed "urge surfing" which I found helpful early on.

I rarely post pictures of local graffiti as there is so much of it I fail to notice a lot of it but this caught my eye as being above average.

Edit. It is very close to a couple of beigel shops

STDragon 04-15-2017 10:34 AM

Hey all. Bimi! hi! Doin' OK Sunshine? Cravings faded?

Aww, baby giraffe is checking the place out. Probably wondering what the heck just happened?

Midwest1981 04-15-2017 10:39 AM

mns1- great job on day 2!

Sunshine- I was sure good at hiding my hangovers and problems. I hope the cravings pass.

STDragon 04-15-2017 10:39 AM

Off to the church in an hour to see the blessing of the baskets. Bet we'll be yelling at our son to get is A** in gear. Just like every other time. No matter how much warning we give. 'I'm aware Dad!'. Well no, your not. Name a time when you've been ready?

Soberwolf 04-15-2017 10:44 AM

Evening everyone - good job Mns

Yep out to lunch had club soda and cranberry in a champagne glass. I don't know why but that helps. Now for coconut cake and coffee. I'd waste those calories on alcohol anyway.

Tetra 04-15-2017 11:52 AM

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

I have a confession to make - I drank Thursday night. I knew I was going to and I really have no excuses. I have re-set the app on my phone and I am back on day 2.

Seeing as how I am not completely sober, I probably won't be posting on here so much. I do think it would be useful for me to get more active in my real life and spend less time online in the virtual one. I need some time to re-assess my situation.

I am at home for the weekend. My father is so good. He changed the sheets on my bed and I knew that he doesn't like my hair but he didn't say that. He did say something along the lines of "it's a nice change for spring and it's not completely in-your-face". My mother as usual was straight in with "I don't like it. It looks awful'. She has no tact at all. It is MY hair and I do like it.

Anyway I hope you all have a happy Easter and I will have my candle lighting for all of you tonight as usual.

Lots of successes in this thread, well done!

For those struggling, we are there standing with you. Keep coming back and posting through the tough times.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Good to see you, bim.

Coconut cake sounds delicious!

Tetra- good job on day 2. I hope you continue to add up those days.

saoutchik 04-15-2017 01:20 PM

I am really sorry that you drank Tetra, I agree that is a good idea to be active in your real life as opposed to online but (at the risk of sounding like your mum) don't let it involve booze.
