Way to go soberwolf, I think it's a step forward, it has to lead somewhere. in the big picture it's such a big step for you and great regardless of what happens because it sounds like you are conquering your fears at the moment.

Good luck with the new job, soberwolf.
Congrats!

You know SW, sometimes people distinguish between 'work' and 'a job'. A job is something practical that you need in order to pay the bills. Work is something that you do because you love it. If you're really lucky, it can be one and the same, but not for many people. Helping people could be within your job or outside of your job, or both. You help people at SR, volunteer work in your community would be helping people. Working part-time and going to school is a good idea but it's a lot to take on. Take your time and sit with this and listen to your heart.

Way to go Mr SW! Sounds like you have a great & supportive wife and family, too.

You rock!

You will do just fine. I have confidence in you :)
Two years ago, you embarked on a very challenging journey and you accomplishes what few people manage to: achieving and maintaining sobriety.
If you could do that, you can do anything you set your mind too.

Thanks guys im feeling a tad calmer at the end of the day I confronted my fear & let it know i was here and no matter what fear can't mess my plan up I'm going to do all the things I have to do this is going to happen

I have been out of work for near 6 years when my mum got told she had terminal cancer I was working over Olympic park it was around 3pm I explained my mum got diagnosed he said I need you here il regret staying for the rest of my life

After staying at the hospital till late me & my brother were up all night

The next day at work an hour late they sacked me on the spot I called him an evil **** and threw my hardhat at him I havnt had a proper job since that day

The odd job & odd day sometimes but not a proper job

I always said in sobriety a job will be my resurrection
