Try not to panic MLC...it's really futile to guesstimate about flood waters rising and when roads may or may not be cut off.

Yeah we flooded badly in jan this year, lost my business as did many others and January 2 years ago. Now here we go again in feb.

Decided I will go inpatient again. Scared.

hey, if you do inpatient, you have time to prepare & calmly & voluntarily walk yourself in there. you don't have to go scarred.

why are you scarred? you're the boss here. you're going to quit your addiction, they are there to help you. you're the boss. you do the hiring or firing for your life.

I'm scared because it means leaving my beautiful kids. I'm scared because it means facing my demons.

well you know leaving your kids for a bit is required for you have to do so you can be with them more in the future.
a lot of people want now to work, but forget that it took a lot for now to be working the way it is.
it's intense, i'm sure to go to detox.
but consider how much of the rest of your life with your family that you will save by doing so.

and yes, it sucks about the demons. sucks worse when even the 'doctor' or whatever will put this on you as if they don't have demons. **** that. everyone has demons.
you're dealing with this for you. everyone else will have to handle their own problems while you deal with yours.
bust in that door. get fixed up. get ongoing therapy as to why you do these things. but mostly learn to be healthy & when to kick people out when need be.
hell yeah, go through it. make a joke of the suffering or whatever, this is not about other people for a while. you need to recover. i support that.

Thbnsk. So it looks like the inpatient bit is Being put off for a few months. They want me on the Valium for now.

I guess your Dr knows you and your case better than any of us do.
I'm really hoping so MLC.

Hope the plan works and your husband is up for the responsibility.
It's a big ask.
