I see. Sorry, just getting caught up in the Philadelphia fever going on now, not that I've ever actually cared about sports that much. But I'm an expat from PA, so what the heck.

OK, there were some mental pics I could have done without.

While I'm not a fan of AA for personal reasons (if it works for you, though, have at it), I am a fan of Joe Walsh. Love his commentary in the beginning--his usual brand of humor:

One Day at a Time

Thanks Scotty!! That's set me up for the day!

I had terrible nightmares last night about the Eagles and the Eagles doing things to each other they shouldn't!!!

Ahh, islands and evolution...two great tastes that go great together.

Kookaburras the band, or Kookaburras the football team??

I went to Aus on holiday when I was about 10 years old and was in a state of terror the whole time. We had to watch out for funnel spiders on the lawn in Sydney, sea-crocs on the beaches, stone-fish in the water, deadly jelly fish.

I'd come from South Africa where we all walked around bare foot the whole time, only to come to a land where every thing was poisonous enough to drop a horse, let alone a small child!

And don't get me started on emus!

But the most dangerous thing Australia has produced is the evil Murdoch. Quite a Foxy character.

lol crocs do tend to stroll down the street and steal my brekky, but I simply tell them of :D

Its more dangerous walking around London streets than it is here and I grew up in those streets.

What a hilarious thread and posts. Can relate to randy roos. Went to Cape Hilsborough near Mackay , Queensland a few years ago for wedding anniversary and roos were having "fun" under our cabin, all night. We felt exhausted just hearing them at it. No wonder we have millions of them all over the place.

Hear female porcupines can flatten down their quills to make it "easier" for the male. He wouldn't want to upset her half way thru tho, would he?

I am almost afraid to ask, but what the hell is a brekky and how much do you have to insure it for?

lostbutterfly 10-30-2008 08:18 AM

Brekky = Breakfast

Australians have stayed true to the English language, I see. Unlike some nations ... (just kidding!)

Well, I'll keep my pecker up while I borrow your rubber, and then I'll knock you up in the morning.

And in the US you can still be pissed and stay on the road to recovery!

Oh, and even if Aussies have stayed true to the English language why do they eat in the middle of the road?
