oh I don't know about the turtle comment. My ex had one - not sure what kind, but he was huge. kept him on the deck in a kids swimming pool. one night it rained (a lot) and the pool overflowed and in the morning Patrick was ......gone...... searched everywhere, no clue where he could have gone. poor Patrick. (did I mention my ex wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer?...:)) |
Klynn, you are cracking me up! Patrick... ha. I have a duck couple that visits under my bird feeder almost every night between 5:30 and 6:00 We call then Steve and Sally... the kids get very excited to see Steve and Sally.... We haven't named the raccoons and the deer yet... O.K. Back to the crabs. I only have mosquitoes here... Heavy |
I have turtles! Okay...these turtles are free range fellas...one got smashed by the garbage men one morning...and my daughter and I took the eggs (she was on her way to lay them in our garden...the smashed turtle...not my daughter that is) and burried them....we'll see what comes up in a few months. As far as the three other hermit crabs....I had no idea where one went...one got lost in the back yard (he's REALLY OUT OF HERE!) and the biggest one ...the ladybug...is still MIA. The saga continues...one day at a time...all day...:Val004: |
hahhaa I'm thinking of getting some and letting them run free in the house......... just for some excitement. which just goes to show how sad my life really is...........:) |
Well...Sponge Bob is lost again (baby let him free) BUT! My huzband found the Ladybug in the bathroom...scaling the toilet. So...-Sponge BOB...+LadyBug...???The other two... |
whoopie!! the hermit crab thread!! RUN LITTLE CRABS RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if they realize how famous and entertaining they've become to us:) |

um yeah...ok ew |
its cute!!!!! |
no way........ puppies are cute. hermit crabs can come up unannounced and pinch your toes. ow. they sure are funny though when they are running loose in someone else's house!! |
i guess i'm getting old....i like things that come up and pinch you on the a$$ http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...er88/pinch.jpg |
LOL ((Ananda)) you would love my great uncle Leo then. and he kinda looks like that squid a little in his old age.......too bad you never got to meet him:) |
|
now those are some serious worry lines............ |
|
can you pull them out of their shells? i don't want to - just wondering......... |
have no idea! i'm from kansas girl! Never seen a real one of these things! llillibit can probably give us an education on this when she comes back. |
My lil daughter (I call her the baby...she's two) just saw that pic and started clapping!!!! |
Yeah...my kids keep trying to pull 'em out...but haven't YET.... They change shells when they out grow the one they got. They actually don't pinch...they ain't meaniez....just LOOK that way. The baby plays with 'em the most. So...it's kinda fun for the whole family to hunt for 'em around the house....I'm thinking of getting like six more....just for the REALLY CRAZY CRAB LADY effect around here! Bet I'd be the 1st CRAZY CRAB LADY you ever knew! |
