Exclamation Hermit Crabs LOOSE!

I can't find the damn things....my two year old got into the lil box they were in. Now I have two of my other kidz screaming their heads off at her! Yeesh.
I remember when my friend got all drunk and let her lil chihuahua out by accident. The guy she picked up at a bar ran the thing over. TOTAL BOTTOMS OUT for my bud. Woke up with a UTI and her dog flattened on her driveway.
Thank GOD! I don't drink or drug it up like before. I don't know how I would explain THAT one to my kids...
"Mommy? Who was that man that was here last night....and why is Monkey sleeping on the driveway?"
or....worse yet....
"Can we get a bigger dog this time?"
Kids...and their lil way of thinking. Somebody has to be an adult around this madhouse.
So...I'm hunting for crabs.
Beats getting 'em I suppose.

Just thinking...

One was painted like Spongebob...the other...a big old red ladybug. Gonna run the Kirby vac around...hopefully they won't be in the path of my duty.
I was told they climb all over the place. Like real high. So...I'm keeping my head up. Probably end up in my bed...like everyone else around here...dog too! I am the pesk whisperer...

I gotta find these things before my mother-in-law "stops by". I'm gonna hear about it if I don't.
I don't know which would be worse...the things crawling around pass her toes....or them dead and stinking up the room somewhere.
In the first situation...I would be judged for bugs and varments...
Second scinario...my home smells like dead things.
OH! And the mullberry tree is stinking up my driveway! Like old rotten bum wine! I walk out to the trash and get all sentimental. It's that same smell from walking into the bar you were in the night before...and wanting a drink....minus the urine....THE SMELL THAT IS...rotten mullberry....
Geesh...I'm tired...going to sleep now.
Hope the crabs get back into their lil home.
Keeping HOPE alive!

Now that you mentioned the outlaw coming for a visit .. I think I'd let the critters stay out for a day or two ...

Lilbit - surely they have names (like Nemo & Dori), just call them.

Just for the record - if someone painted me like Spongebob or a ladybug, I'd hide too.

(But.. thanks for the description info, if I see them around here I'll contact you.)

I'm still hunting for 'em....any tips would help...

Which ever room they were let loose in they will look for a dark cubby hole. Place a small piece of raw chicken in the area they will find it. Good luck!

Go out and get a third crab.

The other two may come out of hiding to greet it, sponsor it, share their experiences, strengths, and hopes.

Hopefully you don't have any extra shells lying around. They'll take a new home. Or I wonder if they'd co-opt something like a kid's toy? Can you imagine...a hermit crab with a toy truck or car for a shell? Big pimpin'!

Seriously, hope you find them. For you & the kiddos.

They are real climbers, look on curtains or anything that is not real smooth.
