Rusty--Hump Day is Wednesday--midweek--the day you hit and then it's easy coasting toward the weekend... but come to think about it, it probably is the reverse for us, since the weekend is usually the hardest part of the week. Keep up the good work Gang!! There will be no quitting today!! You know, I'm over 2 years sober and today, my not so smart, addicted brain, thought, "I could just go tie one on and never go back to AA." Just wanted to let you know, the thoughts continue. It is what we do with them that makes the difference. I just laughed it off!! "Yeah, like I'm going to do that!" That's another reason why support from each other is so important. I need people to help me through the rough times, and celebrate the good ones. I need people to call me on my BS, when I'm not thinking right. I've had to hear a lot of things I didn't care to hear, do a lot of things, I didn't want to do. But I have learned and become a better person for it. So, even though today sucked, I didn't have to drink about it!! And I'll pray again tomorrow, for that same blessing!! ((All)) |

rump day--lol! yesterday was dump day for me...hubby is home this week--vacation cancelled due to threatening hurricane--and supercrabby. have good friend who is in icu basically dying slowly while her partner (who is only 32 and has three young kids) is barely holding it together and my heart goes out to them. kids stuck inside cuz weather is lousy...i am down in the dumps.... but NOT QUITTING!!! being sober and being present for all this is saving my life! thanks all for the support! |
