Today is too good a day to be spent drinking! No quitting here!

Two of my children started school today and it was ssooooo good to be fully present and just there for them. They are so sweet and this is such a fleeting time (they actually look forward to school). What a joy to be sober!

However, after today, I feel like quitting college. :(

I LOVE this Rusty,
it reminds me that today I need to look at all my
cleverly disguised opportunities and knock off feeling sorry for myself,
its a waste of time, it brings me down and there is nothing positive in that.

hi all, dropping in to catch up and to give you a heads up (as you guys say up there) about a friend i have met in another forum (not drinking related) who is dangerously and problem drinking at the moment.

i have referred him here and let him know that he would be more than welcome.

so if dave drops in, please give him a welcome. on the other forum his nick is trumped so i am not sure what he might call himself here. he might still be trumped and he may say i referred him, not sure,

but i shall watch here over the next few days to see if he comes along, nice bloke, good guy, worth the welcome.

hey it is also good to see everyone, especially the other 'oldies' hahahaha

guess what i got an interview for a different job today, outside of the department i am in, god i am so scared, like leaving the nest if i get the job hahaha, but it feels the right time for a change, hope the interviewers agree hahaha. actually i am more nervous about getting the job and leaving where i have been for 20 yrs than not getting it hahaha.

i havent had an interview for 20yrs, help any good ideas!, for the past 20 yrs i have moved around cause people have said "kath can you come here and do this?" etc. mind you i hadnt done a job application in that time and i at least got an interview, so that cant be too bad.

will let you know how i go. at the moment i figure, if i get it i win (new job, HUGE life change) and if i dont then i am safe where i am anyway, so nothing to lose haha
