FBL, I like the idea of a map for USA and maybe Oz too? |
Evening guys & gals |
Morning overs, Hope it’s a good tuesday for everybody. No snow here and I think it’s starting to get a bit warmer! See you later xx |
Good morning Overs. Have a good day everyone. |
Oops, Wolfie I think I remember you're a Londoner? And FG is actually pretty close to me! Sorry if I missed a Brit out! Andy, I move tomorrow so am existing on about 4hours sleep and lots of lists! (And strong black coffee natch!) https://i.imgur.com/f7nbmdwl.jpg |
That’s great toots! |
Yesterday marked Day 3,500 and today it's 9 years + 7 months sober for this Former Beer Lover! :) Have a Terrific Tuesday, overs! |
Oh wow, FBL! That’s brilliant!:You_Rock_ |
FBL, that’s terrific! A map of the US might be challenging because of sheer size :lmao Have a good Tuesday, Overs. |
That's terrific FBL! 3500 is quite a number of days. It's funny in that I feel most Americans think that all Brits must live in London or just outside. We have little familiarity with the Island, though so many of our families hailed from there over the course of many generations. |
Hurray FBL!! I like the map thingy, puts a vision of who I am talking to in perspective. I am geographically challenged so am enjoying the trip! Badge |
Badge, I know what you mean!, I can get lost in any car park.:lmao Happy Wednesday Overs! Hope it’s a good day.:grouphug: |
Good job Toots! FBL, I'm glad you're OK. Congrats! I'm still right behind you. 3046 days here, 8 years 4 months. I put my trip off because although I'd rather fly, TSA lines and flight delays made me decide to drive up. That way instead of standing in lines for a full day without knowing if my flight was a go or not. So I'm having my front end aligned and I'm going to split the drive up to two leisurely days. First day here to Amarillo, second day to Colorado Springs. Sassy, glad you got less snow than many. Star, My dad came from Huddersfield England to NYC, wooed my mom, and I popped out in 1952. Dad was in the Air Force for four years but never became a citizen before they split up and left the country. My brother and me never heard from him again, until I found his death notice in 2003, 60 years later. My grandparents were well off and emigrated to the US in the early 1920s from Colombia to take care of the US presence for the family biz. So I'm both a first generation and second generation immigrant's son and grandson. I'm doing a family tree/book of our histories. We've done well anyway, with a lot of support from my Gramps and Grams. I'm two weeks late and am trying to change plans. Unless the government opens tomorrow, I'm driving two days. 65 here, no snow, pouring rain. Blech! |
Good morning Overs. 3500 nice number FBL, In six days I have 2100. Have a good day everyone. |
We’ve got a smattering of snow! |
. |
I hope all is okay for all in the snow guys. Tomorrow is going to be around 112F....historical high apparently. |
More snow here overnight and it's still coming down pretty hard. Looks like we'll end up with 6-8 inches total. Then comes the cold. Looks like well below zero temps shaping up for our weekend. Itch, my Dad's big retirement project was working on the family history. He traced his side all the way back to 1520 in Switzerland. He also did my Mom's side of the family, which goes back nearly as far in Germany. My great-great grandparents (Dad's side) came to the US in 1854. Mom's side came here in 1864. Have a Happy Hump-Day, overs! |
PJ, I must admit I would rather have our cold temps than your 112 F! Have a happy Hump Day, Overs :-) |
Snow here this am also, should be gone by this afternoon though. My work week starts today so let the fun begin,,,,,:jail Badge |
