Class of July 2013 Pt 10 |
Thanks Dee. I'm first. :c006: |
Hi Guys Wow, we made it to part 10! Lets keep on going! Croissant, the 4Cs: capable, competent, caring and compassionate. You are these and more, I'm sure! Bob, way to charm the ladies! Yes, I like to think we are an intelligent bunch! Lulu, your job sounds stressful enough, never mind your manager scheduling all those vacations simultaneously. Sounds like a very difficult week, but hang in there, we are thinking of you! Croissant it's hard for me to imagine someone never having experienced snow! It can be beautiful, especially when the sun is shining, it's magical. However, as Bob says, snow shovelling gets to be very tiresome! Ladybug, please don't let weight issues derail you! I think our bodies take time to "settle", and as long as you are going to the gym, and enjoying it, take heart from that! I'm seeing my psychiatrist today. Still not on another anti depressant. He thinks I'm just riding a wave of rebound wellness atm after coming off the other one, and that I will inevitably go down again and will need a new medication. I just want to see how it goes, I'm enjoying being able to feel "normally" sad, if that makes any sense. Then, I start a new acting course, Acting on Camera, we will be filmed at some point, so that will be interesting to see. I'm getting more comfortable in my skin, and I think I will be able to handle seeing myself, warts and all! Then another scenes rehearsal, so it will be a long day, and I'm driving to the city. Not a great sleep, either, but onwards! So very thankful for you guys! |
Pete better come back with a note or he'll get a slap ! Leshar i hear you re ** I'm enjoying how to feel normally sad ***. Totally get it ;-) Oh well ..if you go down , you know there's only one way to ....UP . And we are all here for you , you know that . I'm so proud of you Leshar , you have really turned a corner the last few weeks .;) :Val004: |
Ice cream. Moosetracks.........YUM! That is all, check back later. :) |
Umm ..... BOB ? ...... Lol ...okayyyyyy |
Snoozy, thanks! Bob, I love moose tracks ice cream! |
Ok Leshar ...give it up with the ice cream lol ..what the hell is moose track icecream ...I'm an Aussie remember ..we have no MOOSES ! Lol |
This stuff,Wendy. It has yummy peanut butter cups in the ice cream. Next you'll be telling me you don't know what a fluffernutter is.lol Moose TracksŪ Light Ice Cream | Turkey Hill Dairy How's everybody tonight? Crazy day today. I had to repair my muffler and exhaust on my truck as it was rusted and broke. Now I'm relaxing and watching TV, |
That actually made my mouth water Bob! And yeah , yeah ..EVERYBODY knows what a fluttermutter is ...Geez ...but for those who don't ...best you just let them know ;p |
1 Attachment(s) Let's confuse Bob and throw in a kangaroo. |
Bet Bob doesn't know what a Weis bar is LOL D |
Is that a diaper on that rue? No Dee, you got me on that one. I'm under the impression that wise and bar don't mix. ;) |
They're uniquely Australian - kind of like a frozen smoothie with a strip of ice cream on one side http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/4066/barslu1.jpg I should declare I'm distantly related to the Weis family, but I have no pecuniary interests LOL D |

Those Weis bars looks tasty, Dee. Looks like you might have had a little nibble of the macadamia one...your fav?! Croissant, cute roo! I wonder what happened to his poor foot. What a darling face! |
That would be my fave, yes :) D |
The baby Joey was injured in a bush fire. He has a nappy on whilst he's inside recuperating with his wildlife carer. Wildlife caring is fun, but you have to avoid poops when you have wild animals inside! Weis bars. Such a Queensland thing. apparently they were originally created by the Weis family to use any gluts of fruit they had on their farm in Queensland. Macadamias....Uggggh we had those trees in our yard growing up. I ate so many one day I threw up. I can't tolerate more than one or two now, but I lurve them. Especially spiced ones....or honey coated ones. Yum. |

Yes, every time I plan a snow trip...something has come up. Maybe this year. :) Had a good day. Applied for a few jobs. Came home at lunchtime and the brisk walk energised me a lot. Life feels great this week. Unbelievably so. Hope you got a costume, Leshar? And wow, those antidepressants....would be great if feeling so good lasts for you, Leshar...fingers crossed! |
Hiya Crois ;-) I've never seen snow either ;-( |
Hi all - Laughing at all the Aussie food vs. North American food. The only Aussie food I've tried was vegemite (blech!) back in the day when it was mentioned in that Men at Work song. Bob I think a fluffernutter is a New England thing....although I know what it is the only person I know who has actually made and eaten one is my BF's SIL who is from New Hampshire. I remember as a kid sending sourdough bread to family in upstate New York. Oh and See's candy. Because you couldn't get them except out here in Cali. One thing that I wish was out here on the West Coast - Tim Horton's. Timbits...yum! NCG |
1 Attachment(s) Yup, A fluffernutter is a New England thing. It's just a sandwich made with marshmallow spread and peanut butter. Usually on white bread. :) I've gone to other states and not even seen the Fluff on sale. Vegemite-heard of it,but, never tried it. I do like Nutella though. |
NCG Tim Hortons! Or "horny Tim's" as my old bf (the one i reconnected with) called it! We Canucks do love our Tim's! And Timbits, num num! Dee, it's Snuffy! He's a fav of mine, him and Cookie Monster! Well guys and gals, more later, treating myself to a pedi this am! |
Haha, Bob! Now I see we've come back to 'roos. Skippy, the bush kangaroo, anyone?! Ta for the chuckles this mornin',folks! |
Non LOLOLOLOL Leshar ! Too funny , I've been watching Skippy the bush kangaroo every night when i cant sleep . It's usually on around 1 am . So funny now when i watch it opposed to when I was a kid . :-) i still love it tho . Reminds me of sitting with my 7 brothers and sisters after school eating vegemite toast And just being a kid . ;) Bob if you wanna pm your address , I'll send you some vegemite :p Mannn i love that marshmallow fluff , i prefer it in pink tho xx. :eat |
Hi Snoozy, yeah I used to watch Skippy after school too! Wow, that's a big family you come from! I just got a message from my gf, the one who doesn't like that I no longer drink. She was on her way back into town and called me to see if I could meet up with her for a coffee now. She never contacts me to say, hey, can you meet me for lunch/coffee on Thursday/next week, ie never with any forward planning, it's always been me accomodating to her schedule at the last minute. Well, I'm tired of this. I may be less busy than she is, but I'm no longer going to drop whatever I may be doing to meet her, cos im lonely and don't want to lose the friendship. The friendship is changing, I've mentioned this here, and I'm ok if it fizzles out. She's not a very positive person and I've come to realize that she uses me as a sounding board for her troubled relationship with her partner. Ah well, there it is. I had a great day in the city yesterday, my psych is ok with me remaining off anti depressants atm. I see him in a month. My class was interesting, it's totally different acting for the camera, than stage acting. A nice bunch of ppl in the class, a few good laughs! One of the nice things about getting older, I find, and more so as I continue with a sober lifestyle, is that I'm less concerned with what others think of me. I do my best, show up, and give a good effort to whatever it may be, and then ,well, I just have to let things unfold as they may! I think you mentioned before that you feel somewhat the same way, eh Snoozy? I'm going mad atm with bad scalp psoriasis, I'm going mad with the itch! Between me and my bird who has birdy dandruff, we're the Itchy and Scratchy show!! |
1 Attachment(s) Oh food....listen, Vegemite may taste odd, but you probably aren't starting out right. Lots of butter on hit toast and scrape it THINLY on. Not slather - American -style! Yes, really, sometimes less IS more! Hehe. Instructions below. I like mine sometimes with avocado on top and finish with a squeeze of lemon, sprinkle of salt and pepper and finish with a sprinkle with chia seeds. Superfood lunch! |
I like my Vegemite all of the above ways. sometimes, I even deliberately burn my toast black, and have it "for those who want to die" style. I also recommend half honey, half vegemite. Alternate bites from the sweet to the salty. Yeah, good times! Off to work for me. |
Good Grief Crois! :faint Do you really have the want to die version Pml !!!! I'm a vegemite for beginners girl lol , dunno about the roast beef example . I don't think you can liken our icon to anything ;-) But i absolutely loved seeing that pic this morn , thanks . Guess what I'm about to have for brekky now :-) Oh and i agree , it's a must that the toast is hot with lotsa melted butter yummmmm cxxxx |
