Grateful to have heard from Courage congratulating me on my year soberversary. I actually forgot about it. It's been a long four years in some ways, but so glad to be sober and with you all.

Grateful my oven baked coconut shrimp turned out good and my MIL was very happy with it. surprised her by making it. She asked earlier today what I was planning for dinner and I told her it was a secret. She deserves fun little surprises since she has been down lately due to her husband/my FIL being in a NH
Grateful my PITA sister did not disrupt my happy mood and focus. I am not going to let her ruin any more of my days or time.

I'm bedded down in my van for the night. I found an RV place where I can plug an extension cord in.

Tonight I'm grateful for
- the friendly lady who welcomed me to the RV park
-the very warm bathroom here
-smoked cheese and olives for dinner
-an opportunity to be a better person in relationships
-figuring out how the van heater works
- the juniper and piñon forests of southern Utah

I received some scary news today that one of my best friends has cancer. I'm grateful that I was sober when she called and that I was able to be present in that conversation. Grateful for the big smack in the face reminder of what's really important and what is not worth my time/worry. Grateful for my beautiful friends.

Grateful for a good therapy session
Grateful to realize that I’m still grieving over family deaths, as well as those parts of myself that have died along with them. It’s good I let those parts go, but it’s also a little scary when you are trying to reinvent yourself. It’s like being a little bit lost
Grateful to find out the plans for this weekend are actually not until next weekend. I’m so tired and don’t want to do anything this weekend but chillax

Tonight I'm grateful for a lovely historic hotel I got to explore as well as a lovely drive through eastern Arizona. The sun was setting and there were piñon trees (I think), golden fields and mountains in the distance. Really lovely.

BKA- Glad you got to see some of AZ and yes the eastern part is very beautiful. I love the high mountains and pine forests of our state, the lakes and streams.

Grateful that my wife and I love exploring and sometimes we travel the extra distance to see what others don’t.
Grateful we found a little outdoor Chinese eatery last night.
Grateful for a good night of sleep and getting my laundry done, we’ve been on our feet hiking and walking around Maui.

Grateful I got to do Teams with Mr. Alpine this morning and we will do it again tonight. Gosh I miss him. This Monday with be 7 weeks since we last have been together. That means we are that much closer to being together.
