Grateful to be up early this morning. Grateful to Opi for the new thread. Grateful that my family and myself are all well. Grateful to have time to post. Grateful to receive a postcard yesterday from my daughter's 2 children with a pic of them on the front and a note on the back telling me what they've been up to. Made my day. Grateful for coffee. Grateful to see Mags here. Grateful to have so much to be grateful for. Grateful for every one of you here. xx |

Rusty, I hope you are okDaisy, I loved the image of your pond in the yard. That was a few days ago. I’m catching up FBL, loved what you said about it not being all about me Numblady, wow what a dream! Hev, so glad you are back with us. NCJ, buttermash and sneezy, good to see you all too. Grateful for a great night sleep with no middle of the night waking. Grateful that though I forgot to turn the heating pad off, he house did not burn down. Grateful for new resolve today. I am embracing the thought: when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Grateful to think less about my myself and how I can just be productive and helpful Grateful that everything passes and changes and we have an opportunity to become stronger and better. Grateful for our friendship and family in the computer (as least says) |

Grateful for coffee! Grateful that I finally weighed myself, and confirmed my worst fears. At least I've defined the problem I need to solve, however horrifying. :scared: Grateful that the sun is shining. Grateful that I have a quiet, clean, and spacious home office. Grateful that I feel motivated to make changes for the better. Grateful that my work has a laser focus today. Grateful that I have a job that can be done remotely. Grateful that I can connect with friends and family through technology. Grateful that I'll have the chance to be of service to my mom and beloved MIL this weekend. Grateful to be sober, and for everyone who is keeping SR on track during these crazy times! |
Grateful Fearless’ post reminded me I forgot to say I loved FBL’s post yesterday about the ego. Fearless, no clue on how to get rid of the As with the little halos. I just use the Daisy 3-return method. Grateful I was up early and in time to see the setting of a gorgeous full moon. (Not positive if it’s technically the fully moon but it was big band beautiful and glowing and it’s close enough for me). Grateful to be starting the process of moving toward the new role (not effective until 6/1). Grateful for health. Grateful for indoor plumbing, air conditioning, and wireless internet. Grateful for all of you. |
Yes, thank you for the thread, Opi and to all the mods for keeping this site going. Don’t know what I’d do without you all I believe that is true, Courage. Grateful to remember I need to care for myself first. Grateful to start a new family routine in the morning. I am calling it Huddle and Hugs where we gather after breakfast and discuss the daily plan for each of us. Today is huddle and hugs day 53 (number of days we’ve been shelter in place) Grateful to adjust and adapt. Grateful that everything will be ok. I know it. |

Grateful for a relaxed and sober morning, no home schooling today as it's a Bank Holiday here in the U.K to celebrate V.E day. Grateful for the men and women who gave their lives for us in the war. Grateful that I and my family are well. Grateful for all our key workers and grateful to stand on the doorstep again last night to give them a round of applause. Grateful for morning coffee. Grateful that my orchid plants survives my neglect in remembering to water it. Grateful for memories of my dad today and listening to 40's music with him in his last days, music was the one thing that never failed to get through to him. Grateful to have enough food in my cupboards and grateful that I don't need to go shopping today. Grateful for the money I've saved on petrol. Grateful that Palmersage was brave enough to stand on the scales, I braved them too and it wasn't good :goodnews:, grateful that it's not just me, lol. I need to get a grip and now. Grateful to read F.B.L's post about the ego. Grateful to be able to share that I get rid of the A's by editing my post and deleting them. Grateful to read about Fearless's huddles and hugs. Grateful that Mags managed to administer her injections, though I always knew she would do it. Grateful to read all your posts, they keep me going. Grateful that the engineer from our Internet provider turned up unexpectedly yesterday and replace the hub thingy, he was fully masked up etc and we had to stay in another room whilst he did what he had to do, then we had to sanitise everything, but we have a proper working service again, at last, I hope. xxx Grateful for all of you. xxxx |

Grateful for the laugh thanks to Aly. Let’s just say with me it probably IS “words OR wisdom” :) Grateful for Daisy’s tips on how to make posts work better! Grateful to have no official meetings scheduled today though it will still be busy. I may try to join some Mom friends on their standing Friday morning zoom. Grateful the weekend is coming. My kids really need something to do besides stupid screens but sometimes it’s really nice to not have to deal with the added stress of schoolwork. Grateful I pretty much always make the coffee too strong. Because there is no such thing. Hopefully this makes sense. Grateful to my son for sweet hugs. Grateful he got into the school he wanted to get into. Not because of my whiny appeal but because room opened up :). Grateful my therapist is helping me think through things like equipping him more for adversity instead of trying to reconfigure things to protect him. I never want to be one of those parents that manufactures a universe that will keep him from adversity but there is also such deep and profound guilt about am i doing the right thing that at some times you feel like you would be failing your future kid to not try and change something or do something. Grateful I am doing grats BEFORE I look at the news of the day. Something that I only started doing in times of Covid. Probably not a good habit but now it’s just that. A habit. Grateful for Fearless’ sweet pandemic routine. Grateful for RZ’s perseverance. Grateful my daughter and I have taken up playing Spider together on my ipad. Grateful to be here. |

Grateful for COFFEE, especially because there was so little SLEEP last night! Grateful to be motivated to start eating better and exercising. Grateful the scale rewarded me a tiny bit this morning. Only one day in, but I will take whatever small victories I can get! Grateful that I don't have to commute or dress up for work today. Grateful that my extended family is healthy and financially secure. Grateful for time and space to breathe and think, especially in the morning. Grateful to be sober, and for everyone on SR! |
