Happy sober Saturday, weekenders.

Thank you for good wishes.

I have to admit I had to google Yorke)

Kaily 01-22-2022 10:21 AM

I think I might have Cellulitis. :(

On a brighter note, my new curtains. :)

Sorry to hear that, Kaily.

Make sure you treat those eyes.

Love your new curtains and your place overall.

I wonder if I will ever able to turn my mess of apartment into a nice place to live in.

Caramel 01-22-2022 10:25 AM

Seek medical attention at once, Kaily.

Best wishes.

Willow00 01-22-2022 01:37 PM

They look lovely and homely Kaily :)
I hope you can get your eye/face condition sorted out

I’m happy that you guys like to see my seagull pics :)
I hadn’t been to the beach in a while so I hadn’t seen Jonathan lately. It was actually quite windy and I didn’t think he’d be there, but sure enough, he was soaring up high on the wind currents :)

I hope everyone is taking care and having a nice weekend. I'm sober although the last two days haven't been very good, just super anxious, PTSD type stuff. But I know the healthy thing is to just ride it out so I've been trying to do that.

Ben and Jerry's on tap for tonight :)

Mags1 01-22-2022 08:50 PM

Kaily, your curtains are a lovely bright addition to your room. Love it. Hope your eye is feeling better.

Good to see you itsmaria, Ben and Jerry’s sounds a good ‘ride out the storm’ companion. hope the anxieties pass.

Beautiful car Sao.

Thanks for the nice comments and for my face concern.

Yes I went bold with the curtains. The first ones I bought were grey. In the time they sat around while I was struggling to put up the pole I realised I didn't like them.

I very nearly went to the hospital yesterday as I was quite concerned. Swelling has gone down a bit more today. I am beginning to see my wrinkles again. Must admit the swelling filled them out nicely.

I don't think all this has been caused by a bit of makeup. Seeing my GP on Tuesday. I have pictures to show her at my worst.

Mags1 01-23-2022 01:40 AM

Kaily nice the swelling is going down. When I was on steroids my face sometimes swells (moon face apparently) and my lines go (ish) :biglaugh: thank goodness for masks and long hair. :)

GM weekenders!! Woke up a bit late today around 9 AM. Today my goal is to prep for Program Sense part of the interview in the morning. Later in the evening I will go thru basic coding and common algorithms. Have a great sober day ahead!

Hi y'all

least 01-23-2022 01:31 PM

We got our snow last night, about 6 inches of it. :dee Still under a weather advisory until 7 tonight. I've swept out Billie's little potty space in the yard twice today.

Still not feeling very well today. :( Took a nap but that didn't help.

Kaily, I like your curtains. :) I hope your doctor can help you with the swelling.

Hi PJ. :)

calmself 01-23-2022 01:35 PM

Feel better, Least!!

AthensDawgs 01-23-2022 03:07 PM

good evening everyone.

I actually slept a good bit today and feeling really good. Perhaps it was the amount of exercise I'm getting and my body was ready to sleep.

I had a good talk with my dad back at his place. I told him about the part-time position that I have and I also explained that he has to actually listen to me. I am talking but what I am saying isn't registering to him for whatever reason. I actually suggested that he travel somewhere warm for a few weeks so that he gets out of the cold and gets out of this condo. Perhaps a change of routine and warm weather would help him.

I transition from the outpatient program in the next week or so. I am currently at 75 days and happy with the progress I've made. There have been a few times where I could have broken and drowned myself in the bottle but I didn't. I know deep down inside where that eventually leads to and drinking would just make things 1000x worse.

hope everyone is doing well.

Mags1 01-23-2022 09:16 PM

Nice work AthensDawg on 75 days. :c011: hope your dad listens to you about going somewhere warmer for a while.

Kaily I hope your eye is still getting better.

Least take care if you go out in the cold with Billie.

Love to all the Weekenders, xxxx

End of Day 71 - Prepped up a lot today (almost 8 hours). Planning to wake up early tomorrow as I have taken the day off for the interviews scheduled on Tuesday. Tomorrow morning, I will focus on 3 or 4 more system design questions (Design Instagram, TikTok, ***** and Facebook Messenger) and move over to behavioral questions.

Later in the afternoon, I will focus on Technical project walkthrough and start revisiting these sections in the evening. Superb levels of energy and clarity as I am not drinking. Wishing everyone a great sober day ahead and congrats folks! It's good to see so many milestones. Good night from Seattle!

least 01-23-2022 09:41 PM

Going to bed soon to snuggle with my snuggle buddy, Billie. She goes under the blanket and lays next to me. I go to sleep feeling peaceful and content with her beside me. :)

And when we get in bed, Lily comes up to say goodnight to me and Billie before she snuggles beside my back. :)

Kaily 01-23-2022 11:18 PM

Thank Mags, getting much better and only looking a little oriental now. How are you doing?

Least my dogs sleep with me too. Alfie under the duvet and Daisy under the bed. Alfie won't allow her on it .

Calmself you sound incredibly organised. A nice way to be.

AthensDawgs well done on resisting the av. Nothing to be gained and a lot to be lost. Keep that strong commitment.

The dogs and I went for a 2 hour countryside walk yesterday. Then when I got home I cut the grass, just to tidy it up a bit. Our mild weather means it never seems to stop growing.

calmself 01-24-2022 09:04 AM

GM! Day 72 here. Wishing everyone a great sober day!

Mags1 01-24-2022 10:12 AM

calmself, congratulations on day 72. :) you’re well versed for your interview. :)

Kaily pleased you’re getting better. I’m ok thanks, just coughs and sneezes. You’d think it was spring with all the allergies I’m having. Then again it might be early seeing as you’ve cut your grass. :)
