The quote is spot-on relevant to us alcoholics. I had never seen it before so another thanks to you, Mags. I knew that I couldn’t go on in alcoholism, not for another second. I had to turn around and walk back through the darkness and inner storms I had created in order to get to the light. It truly truly was one blind step at a time along a path that seemed rocky and endless. But, oh, the light at the end of the tunnel. Well worth it x 1,000. |
. Some Theme Music below to echo your fine, much-appreciated Opener, Mags. The now-25 lb. [14 Kg.] Monster seen below got me up Hours before Sunrise. His usual Brekkie time right now, which is just fine by me. I prefer to rise early to quietly enjoy the maximum part of my Day in which I have nowhere to safely go anyway. The exception today is that I have to make a run down to The Hot Zone, as I call it. Grocery Shopping, and a few Errands to prep for a solo RV Trailer Trip with MesaPup starting this Monday. We'll find a spot already generally sussed out on Google Earth around Lake Mead behind Hoover Dam to enjoy some Nevada Desert warmth while Self-Quarantining. When MesaMate has a long Hair Salon appt. - as she does on Monday - I bail to play it safe. It's a Win - Win. She got her first CV-19 Jab a few Days ago, being a little older than I, so I'm likely not jabbed until late Summer. Between that detail, and some ~40% of WingNuts polled claiming they won't ever get the Vaccine, this former Asthmatic will have to play it uber-safe for 2021. That's kewl. I'm Sober. A Female Boss I had ~3 Decades ago in the early TV Satellite Business expressed my POV on Drinking again when she said [about most anything Corporate]: 'Stick a Fork in my [Behind]... I'm done'. The unintended upside of rising before Sunrise today was to suddenly realize I could get out and clean some corrosion funk off the Terminals of the Solar Batteries in the Trailer right before the Rooftop Solar Panels started cranking out free power. Mission accomplished! I'll be Livin' Large off that Solar/Battery Power while perched up above Lake Mead next Week, so maximum stored Electrons matter!
