Thank you for the congrats re my 2 years sober, it was on the 6th April so I'm a bit over, not that I'm bragging, I'm just pleased with myself. I would love my cabin servicing please and if you're short of something to do please feel free to come over to mine tomorrow and do my ironing whilst I do some home schooling :lmao I'm off to my bed now and hoping for a peaceful night. Hello Weekender aficionados. I've been mostly reading this weekend. Not too much to report, feeling a bit a grim. Home schooling starts again today after 2 weeks hols. So that should keep us busy for the best part of the day. It's raining aswell so... The devil av has been torturing me the last few days but I have been able to divert my thinking until it passes. One month today since my blip in march. Take care everybody. 🤝 |

Morning all, Another sunny day here, gonna cut the grass, change some light bulbs for a disabled lady that needs some help and then go walking. I clean the house enough for it not to be dirty, I dust when there is dust, wash the floor when I can see dirt. Clean the toilet when it is crusty ... :lmao Who knew a pandemic would create a shortage of dried mealworms :lol:. I tried to place my regular order for the robins in my garden only to be told due to unprecedented high demand we cannot fulfil your order. What will the robins do? Vinny well done not acting on the av and on a month sober. :) |

I'm sorry for those getting cabin fever.. I got it a lot when I was drinking, without a scooter or wheelchair, and I couldn't go out without a major logistical operation.. I thought drinking might bring escape but it never did. At the very best it pushed things to one side for an hour or two, but the fear was always still there - the fear that this was as good as it got. The post bender downer if despair didn't help. It just made it more likely I'd drink again...because the only tool I had to work with was booze. Noones saying we have to be unerringly positive in this pandemic. Thats unrealistic and ridiculous - but I really believe we can deal with whatever is bothering us without resorting to drinking. Stay the course - we can do this. Do it with me :) D |
