St. Patrick's Sober Weekender Thread Part 1

Ah... the start of another weekender on a drinking holiday. No worries. There is safety in numbers. This day conjures up many a frightening moment where so much could have gone so bad. But here I sit. Sober and grateful.

Jump on the green sober bus with us and stay sober this holiday. No need to keep pace with the thread. Just say hello.

Happy St Patrick's Day to our friends in Ireland and around the world!

Welcome to your sober weekend!

And a happy St Patrick's day to the weekend crew! I never did like green beer but it doesn't matter anyway because I don't drink! Sweet freedom.

Gym time.

A special Thank You to PurpleKnight and Tetra for their first-hand explanations of this day.

Just another normal day for me! Well, maybe my customers will be drunker than usual in the shop later? :lmao I'm sober so everything's okay.

IN!

I like St.Patrick's Day because it reminds me that it's also Mama Nons birthday. I get reminded all day to be a good son and call my mother. Makes me look good - or at least, it helps me not look bad. :)

Keep it sober, y'all!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my friends :grouphug:

I almost forgot it was St. Patrick's day. Never was much for going out on this day, anyway. Too crazy.

trachemys 03-17-2016 03:59 AM

Today used to be an annual vacation. I would go to Savannah and join the revelers. Usually involved a blackout.

Good Times! Blackout drunk, alone, in a city where I knew no one, with a car.

I know how lucky I am to be alive.

I almost forgot this, another goofy thing people in Murica do on this day. Radio stations all across this crazy country use this bit to fill up their morning show. So take it from me, Stinky Earl Arsemuncher, even US rednecks get to play Irish today. So go ahead and change your name for today, it's a lot more funner than drinking. And you can still celebrate the American way.

What's your name?
