Lets not lose sight of what we do here.

No offense to anyone who's posted here, but I think the best (worst) way to feed drama is by speaking about a poster, or down to them, rather than *to* them.

If you have constructive comments or criticism to make to the OP, please do contribute.

If you haven't..thats fine...it's ok to not post in this thread...there's a stream of newcomers here at any given hour of the clock who would love some support :)

At the end of the day it boils down to your choices. For me, I had to want sobriety and I had to want it more than wanting to pick up that drink.

I truly get how hard it is to quit and what a struggle it is. You are progressively getting worse.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers Jeremy. I hope you can find some peace.

Sorry Dee.

Hi Delivery Guy,

I don't think we've spoken before.

I am new to sobriety after having money burning a hole in my pocket the other day and going on autopilot to buy a drink. I had one and then opened up my journal and looked at all the positives I'd written when I was sober. I tipped away the rest of the alcohol and spent an hour writing frantically - anything that came into my head!

Treatment is available to you and that's a really good thing. This is an amazing opportunity and from what I've heard from friends, rehab can teach you some brilliant tools to help you in your new life.

I hope you got rid of the beer. You don't need to keep doing this to yourself. It doesn't serve you, so why not try learning how to stop serving it?

This place will be here when you're out of treatment, and maybe it can be used as part of your recovery programme.

Good luck :-)
