Haha, so true!

By far the biggest benefit to being sober is waking up refreshed. It's an amazing feeling after all the damage I did to my body and brain each night until I blacked out. Very happy for you!

Nice when that part starts to go away, isn't it :) Keep going and other things start to work better too.

The two things for me that make me stay sober are sleep and eating normally(eating at all)

The rest is just added benefits right now. I have to fix me before I fix my external issues. One step at a time :)

Thanks for posting this. The insomnia of the beginning is terrible. But that first good night's sleep is heaven. And I still don't take it for granted. I love being able to sleep well! Good job missoverit. Keep going. ...it gets better and better.

I am on day 13 and have had some rough nights too. I wear a fitbit to bed and it tells you how restless you are. I have been having like 40 restless times during the nights that last 1-2 minutes each. Last night was my first really good sleep that I've had. Hope it continues tonight.

Like a lot of us newbies I've been having difficulty sleeping since my last drink 8 days ago. I've been dealing with twitches, sweats, heart racing, anxiety and just plain wakefulness. But last night I slept! Out around 10:30, very minor sweating and slept solidly until about 6am. I'm not confident that it's always going to be like that now but I sure am greatful for last night! :)

oh that's great! I remember that was the worst, the rampant insomnia and exhausting and drifting off and waking up covered in night sweats, i hated it.

I used melatonin to help and I usually adjusted within two-three days (had several tries at sobriety before getting it ;) for now! vigilance!) but i was so miserable not being able to sleep!

congrats :)

Hey MissOver it. Today was Day 6 for me, and after waking up today, I exactly know how you felt. Dead rock sleep. Felt amazing. Hope it gets only better and better from here on.
