Hi AmMe. I'm really glad you came back to give this another try. It sounds like you're fed up with the way things are.

That's the hard part - convincing ourselves we don't need that stuff to cope. It doesn't help make anything easier or better. I finally figured out it had taken all the joy out of my life, plus it was exhausting to try & control what I drank. It just wasn't worth it anymore. I'm glad you've come to that conclusion. I hope you'll keep posting. We know you can do this. :)

AA is one of the most important ways to stop on the way to sobriety. But, it is not for me. At least at this time. I have seen it work for many people...but I am not sold...I am already obsessive compulsive.....
