Weasel, that looks great!

I think I'll call it a successful weekend. Wrapping up today, day 37, and getting ready for the work week.

Grateful for being alive and sober for THIS life. Never knew it could be this good. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day Sober Folk!! Hope you are all doing well.

Awoke this morning with my heart bursting with gratitude. This has been happening randomly and I love waking this way. My life is not ideal by any means, but I have many blessings.

Just finished dinner. I've always had issues with eating (as in I don't eat) so it's something I have focus on. Made a pork chop, baked potato & green beans with almonds. Sobriety really makes eating much more pleasant!!

My daughter called me around 8pm this evening just to say hi. She's my biggest blessing. Poor girl spent the first 18 years of her life with an irrational, ranting alcoholic mother, yet she loves me despite all of it. She absolutely LOVES that I'm now sober.

Non - I love you man. No one is perfect. I had so many bruises from falling off the proverbial wagon that I lost count. What matters is that we continue to try.

Glad everyone reported in throughout the weekend. I've been reading, but was too busy to post. Have made it through St. Patrick's Day sober. I didn't see this coming lol My AV was up bright and early today dressed in green and waving a shot glass. I took her to an Irish celebration and left her there.
Probably lucky it was too loud for my mom, because the scene was tempting.
Thanks to all for continued reinforcement that we CAN do this :)

That's rough, Fandy, but I am so glad to know that at least one sex offender is in jail where he belongs! I hope both kids will get a ton of counseling to help heal them. This stuff lives with you for the rest of your life and healing it early and getting tools to cope NOW are the best way to try to save the lives of your grandkids.

Every single one of my many disabilities is due directly to the ongoing and severe abuse in my childhood so I just cannot stress enough how important it is that they are getting help now!

I will keep you all in my prayers.

Hey! I did it - a sober weekend. And it was my birthday too! Feels great to be eating a nice healthy lunch with my family today, Monday, before heading off to an AA meeting later. Thanks for your support and encouragement, guys. Sobriety brings a great deal of satisfaction.

Made it despite a huge argument with the wife (we're going thru a divorce).

Lately I've been waking up with the jones but it goes away pretty quickly.

It's raining here but it's another great day to be sober.
