Huge congrats on 4 months:ghug3
I now have a sudden urge to do things I never did..... I think this is called living, although the kids are telling me no on skydiving.
I'm one day older than you.
have a great day:c031:

That's a really good idea. Remembering the bad stuff that came with drinking. My drinking days weren't all horrible, lots of them were fun - but there was a lot of bad stuff as a result, including the day after. So thanks for pointing that out to me.

You seem committed to recovery to me - I'm sure all will go well on your vacation :)

I am extremely committed. Thanks Dee.

I love that in your list of things you are afraid of there is no fear that you will drink :You_Rock_

xxx

You know, I didn't think of that. But you are right. Through all of my worries, struggles, rocky moments, I haven't had the fear of drinking again.

And, you need to stop worrying. I exhausted myself with worry too, but I realized in early recovery that I had to let go. I was a super control freak and it was a horrible existence. There is very little in your life that you can control. Most of what happens is outside of your control. And, it's all happening just as it should. There is a reason for everything. :)

I know, I know. It's hard. Thanks for reminding me though. I am a super control freak. Very hard for me to let go. But I'm trying to not worry about the future or past, just live in today. Thanks Anna.

Lost,

I am so proud of you! Four months is great. Enjoy your vacation, and try not to worry so much.....it's supposed to be a relaxing thing! Congratulations.

Ha! Yes, it is supposed to be relaxing. I'll try. I am hoping that once I'm on my way all of this worry will be for naught.

That's funny. I too have that urge, although sky diving still sounds terrifying! It's weird how all of these other possibilites open up when your life isn't rotating around the booze world.
