Great going, Mark, and all the others here. The first month is the hardest, but you are well on your way!

My story is very similar to yours Mark. Congrats on your sobriety. Keep up the good work. I'm just finishing up day 9 myself.

Hello Mark, Great job!!!
I am in 9 days and counting. I found day 6 or 7 to be the hardest ones since that was Friday and Saturday which were my big days/nights .
Keep the faith everyone and God bless

Well here I go again. I wasnt too successful the past 4 months when I first joined/posted on here, didnt try very hard not to drink though so now Im starting all over again. Woke up today at around noon again with another hangover and $80 poorer......what a waste !!!! and now Im at work tonight doing a 12 hr night shift....and struggling to stay awake. I hope this is my last hangover ! Wish me luck, thanks

welcome back Mark :)

I found making the decision to quit was great...but I really had to work at it after that too...I had to make a few changes to my life and make them stick.

I still check in here daily...others go to AA, or SMART, or counselling, or use AVRT...find whatever it is you need for support.

You can do this :)

Welcome Madman, this is great place for support and to occupy your time/mind so boredom does not take over when cravings set in to drink.... SR has helped me be 4 months sober:)

Hi Mark,
Glad you are back. Never give up. I am 11 months sober now and the changes in my life have been great, no all happy happy joy joy joy but lasting changes that have changed my perception of life forever.

It is worth the work and commitment that you need to get and stay sober. it may look bleak now but if you find and stick to a program I promise you things will only get better.

We are all here for each other.

love
CaiHong
