26km, (16m) walking today....most in a big 5h walk. Halfway thru, it rained a lot and I got drenched. Big nose hardly noticed...she has 2 coats of hair...something to do with being part dingo I seem to remember. I learned a lesson upon getting home. I gave Roxy her food. She gutsed it down too quickly and started seriously choke. I did a heimlick manouver on her and she started breathing. I have no doubt I saved her life. She is presently trying to dig a hole in an armchair, as if moments ago she nearly karked it. My bad, lesson learned. Apart from projectile leaping at another dog (I make sure she keeps walking, and she doesn't hurt herself) she was brilliant. At major intersections, where we may have to wait 5+ minutes, with a gentle push she would calmly sit and wait for hundreds of cars and huge road trains to pass just feet away....with a simple command of 'stay'. The photo isn't the best...no matter. I walk to ease depression. It's been horrible lately. Walking, with music and dog helps.https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...venteendog.jpg |
Well done Phoenix J good morning all julyers and good morning D |
morning SW stay cool. D |
Hiya classmates:wave: Hope you’re all well. It’s a lot cooler her now. More manageable. There were a few fields a few miles away that caught fire. Scary stuff. The fire services had their work cut out. We just aren’t equipped to deal with such extreme heats. This was like my hair in the heat, couldn’t do owt with it. :biglaugh: https://i.postimg.cc/FKdsPc0K/797-A0...6-ED15-D19.png Bob it must be nearing your 9th year sober I think. Love to all Julyers xxxx https://i.postimg.cc/vZYbKqmn/A1-BBF...5-FC571-E8.jpg |
