Thanks Dee :) Hi Erratic :wavey: Great to see you Red, hope you’re feeling better soon  x |
Hi everyone and thanks for the new thread Dee. That flush sounds interesting erratic well done for giving it a go. Hi red, know that feeling only too well. I’m at work right now just taking a wee break it’s been a busy day so far. My grandson who’s four had to have a test yesterday because he was coughing a lot throughout the night, thankfully it came back negative this morning. Back to work now but the morning has flown by so hopefully the rest of the afternoon will be the same! Hope everyone is doing well today! |
ReaIIy gIad your grandson doesn't have covid Iove. s ❤️ |
Good morning everyone 🙂 Thanks Dee. I’m still feeling like a total insomniac. I am on day four I’m hoping I’ll be getting better with the sleep soon. I took two walks totaling over 5 miles. We are in the mist of packing and cleaning to get our house sold. Yesterday we had two showings. I have 2 cats they stress me out with the viewings because we keep the door to our bedroom, guest room and basement closed to them. I’m worried they will make a mess etc or get trapped in a room. We have a family coming to see it whose daughter is deathly allergic to cats! we are also expecting snow so the one cat that goes out will be in the house. Thanks for listening👂🏻 |
I went through that....not seIIing, but having my apt shown for a whiIe with a very stressed-out cat. In the end, I got heIp from my sister who ended up sitting in the car with my cat during viewings. :) Good Iuck with the saIe! :) And yes, the sIeep wiII get better and probabIy very soon. s xx |
Erratic- lmk how the flush goes, it sounds interesting. Good job on day 2. FF- don't try and do too much, to soon! Congrats on day 20 :) Red- feel better soon, lots of water. I'm on day 23. 24 days is my longest time in a row, so there is that. The thoughts of alcohol are there, but the desire is not. Is drinking really all that fun? I've romanticized the idea of drinking for so long and I'm finding I haven't had fun drinking in a very very long time. I have been thinking alot about future, upcoming, events and wether I'm Going to drink and how I'm going to handle the pressure of not drinking in these situations. Best be prepared. Going to do some deliveries today and work in the yard. Get the puppy in a few days, I'm so excited :) |
Hi I’m new here how is everyone x |
Welcome Jo! |
What kind of dog is your puppy dear BTG? :) s |
Hi Jo, welcome to the April class. You’ll find lots of support here :) 23 days is awesome BTG! You’re going great :) we want to know all about the puppy ❤️ |
Congratulations Backtogood for 23 days. |
Welcome Jo! Hi Erratic, good luck with the cleanse. Cngrsts on hitting your new milestone, BTG. Hello everyone, and thanks for the new thread, Dee. Just back from bringing my son for his vaccination. It was a bit of a drive, so, an outing of sorts. Nice day for a drive, and it was easy to find. I have so much appreciation for these volunteer driven vaccination centers. So many people, many seniors possibly at risk, giving their time so generously to help us all fight this pandemic. 💕 Coming up on witching hour, but we are expecting a landscaper to come give an estimate for work. So, I’m stuck here anyway. |
Welcome Jo! You will find lots of support here. Phoebe witching hour is tough for me, I try to go for a walk, or I’ve been learning Spanish for several years in an App and I try to do a lesson, to distract me. |
I agree Phoebe, volunteers do such a wonderful job ❤️ I’m going to talk to my doctor today about the possibility of getting the Covid vaccine. The rollout here seems to be a fair bit slower than elsewhere, but we’ve also had less cases. I’m not sure when I will be eligible, I think it’s still over 70s and frontline workers and those with underlying health conditions. |
Sober53 I use distraction a lot to stop me thinking about drinking too. Keeping busy really helps :) I think it would be lovely to learn another language. I dabbled a little with learning Spanish and Italian a while back but never got very far with either. Probably because I didn’t follow through with a lot of things when I was drinking. Maybe I will look at it again now :) |
I def need the support as I just want to go buy wine. My life has fallen apart |

Jo play it forward in your head if you get the wine, get drunk and then what happens? |
Welcome Jo - my life fell apart too - unfortunately I kept on drinking and it stayed in pieces. Its great you want to stop :) Erratic - not to be a wise guy, but not drinking will really help fatty liver too :) Glad your gson is ok ladytron :) D |

Hi Jo, welcome to SR, we all know that feeling, I felt it today, how are you now? Had a crappy day today and just showed my triggers aswell. I told you all were doing our house up and selling but looks like we may have to push it back a bit until end of summer because of money or lack of and we wont get our loan until then at least, if we do at all so we cant put the house up for sale until august which would be ok but the schools start in September in the new area and I didnt want my son to have to change mid year as hes going into 1st year, he will be nearly 13, so hell have to start a new school here now then change to another new school when we move. That was enough for a trigger in my head to say "aw f this" but I held out and I'm glad cause I've to bring my 10year old for a covid test tomorrow morning hes been a bit poorly last couple days, got antibiotics off doctor today by phone but he wants to send him just to be on the safe side, not looking forward to it..Its not a very nice test and he already doesnt want to go. 🙄🤒 |
