Not sure if you can see on my avatar pic but my 10 year old daughter just spent the afternoon baking the most gorgeously delicious cake for her cousin's birthday. Her cousin loves fairies so the cake is covered in fairy doors, windows and of course fairies. Inside, she's layered the sponge. I have no idea how she does it. I'm just so very proud ❤️ and wanted to share a slice of happiness with all of you xxxx

Thanks Suze!! She's made some amazing cakes. Her minion cake is one of my favourites but I can't seem to get the pic on my avatar. I'll keep trying. I'm so lucky... My eldest daughter wants to be a chef and is studying food preparation and nutrition as one of her GCSEs. She cooked an unbelievable Sunday roast for all of us earlier. And my younger daughter is a fantastic baker. All me and my sons have to do is eat what's put in front of us and do the washing up!! Xxxx

Ahh, cake.. Cake is very relevant to my interests!

Hello folks, just checking in for another 24 hours of sobriety please. The other option doesn’t bear thinking about.

Had a swim this morning, made lunch (bacon and sausage sandwiches) for a friend, did a bit of washing and hit my evening meeting nearby, not tired now but I have to get to bed as I’m up at 6am tomorrow for work.

I fell asleep this afternoon for a couple of hours and felt guilty for it, like I’ve wasted time, but then I thought that actually, isn’t an afternoon nap a relatively normal thing to do after lunch on a Sunday when I have no commitments? I need to try and stop being so hard on myself.

Also need to start doing some proper work on my step 4, so if anyone has any suggestions or pointers on how to start they’d be most welcome 🙏🏻

Signing off for now, wishing everyone peace and love. Be kind to each other and yourself.

James
