Dear Jojo, sending you love and hugs of support. Hopefully once your man wakes up he will realise how unfair it is to treat you so disrespectfully. Nobody deserves that, nor should you have to put up with it. I totally hear you about having to protect your life and sobriety. I couldn’t live sober in a situation like that, so I would need to make sure the situation changed somehow to be more supportive of my sobriety. My partner is a normal drinker and often has a beer after work but he usually only has 1, occasionally 2, and most of the time he has it out in the garage while tinkering on his car. The beer fridge is out there away from the food fridge in the kitchen, so I don’t generally go near it. I don’t like beer anyway, but there is wine in there too as far as I know... but it’s out in “Manland” lol so I just pretend it’s not there as it’s none of my business lol. I couldn’t deal with him being drunk and annoying me, but thankfully he doesn’t. I hope you work out a solution that supports you ❤️

I’m checking in for another 24 please, from a lovely winters morning in Far North Queensland . It’s nearly always sunny here in the north of Australia although it rained yesterday and rain is forecast for today too, with a top temperature of 26C which is rather cold for here. We usually get less rain here in the winter, and mostly glorious sunshine. It’s even usually warm when it rains, but mostly it rains in summer here.

He is up and about now and avoiding me. That's fine I'm snuggled up in bed relaxing.
On a much more important note I've just helped Hannah sort her clothes out for her first day at work tomorrow. Kids are so great at grounding us and reminding us what's really important.
On that not I'll say night night and hope that tomorrow us a better day. Sobriety gives us that essential fresh new start every day. I'll be damned if I let anything put that at risk. No chance!

Haha yes it’s what you get used to I guess. Under 20 and I’m freezing! and rugged up in jeans, jumpers and woolly ugg boots :) I love living in the tropics :) my favourite is about 28-30 which luckily is the temperature most of the time here during the day, except summer is usually 30- 35 and I start to sweat then! :)

I'm all set for another 24 hours sober!

8:35 PM in the San Juan Islands.

Had to concentrate to make it past lunch without going to the store. Could not believe that I was trying to convince myself that having a "nip" at lunch was acceptable. Remembering what everyone here says when others are in a similar situation, Don't Do IT. And I did not. I will have some more of that sweet 24.
