The critical point, for me, was that husband was a normie. But I know and fully understand that, for the absolute most of us, alcohol cannot be in our homes (normal drinking or not on the part of our spouses, etc.) ; our homes need to be our safe places/safe havens. I don’t know how I would have achieved sobriety and recovery if my husband were an alcoholic. I honestly don’t. Sending you love. It touches a raw nerve when I refer to the home as mine but that fact is that it is. My house. My girls. My life. My choice. Harsh to some but utterly necessary for me. Now he is asleep after what looks like too much sun but who knows? |
JoJo, I hope that your man comes to a true realization of how badly this affects you. You absolutely deserve his support. I love my husband so very much but I am not sure that I could live under the same roof with him if he were an alcoholic. |

Count me in! Went fishing this morning. When I got home I had to back my boat and trailer into the garage. It’s not s straight shot in. It’s like backing a trailer through a serpentine course. Usually it’s no problem. Not today. It was very problematic today! I think it took about ten tries to get it in without hitting anything. Yes the air was blue! Did someone mention winter? Bring it on! Congrats to today’s celebrants and all who are sober today! Time to burn some frustation off with a bicycle ride. |
Come and join me and Neo north of the wall jsm for 9 year winter. We won't even need a coat. |

But now I'm sunburnt and need to go to bed. Pesky sun. I love it but I can't handle it. Need to toughen up tho as I'm coming to Orlando on 8 August Leigh for 3 weeks!! And if I think it's hot here......We're all getting so excited... kids are counting the sleeps. Would be absolutely fabulous to meet you Leigh and Suze and Goat.
