Another weekend comes to a successful conclusion. 33 days without a drink. I haven't done that since 1996. So lets all have another dry 24 and meet back here for another slice of that cake SoberLeigh presented to us.!!:grouphug:

23:12 EDT and another 24 for me!

goodbyeevan 06-10-2018 08:34 PM

Tomorrow begins my last week at the state park. I'm sad it didn't work out. But I will be relieved to not have so much pressure and the responsibility of children's lives on me. I would never forgive myself if something terrible happened on my watch. I wish it was managed better. I really felt at home there for a little while. 24 more hours please with a side of 20 well behaved campers

Plenny 06-10-2018 09:55 PM

Snufkin, hugs hugs hugs sorry I was at work all night I hope you were able to talk some stuff out

GBE, good job eliminating something that became toxic! I'm proud of you

Passed day one with out of town good friends/drinking buddies! I watched them enjoy their lunchtime beers and played my tape through to feeling lethargic, bloated, and self conscious. I knew how my body and mind would react to some beers, and I was secretly so happy I wasn't drinking. The tavern didn't have any coffee though. Hm. I am so so so glad I could feel good about this and carry on a natural conversation and not feel like I've changed a bunch. We had some laughs and shared memories. I didn't need or want any booze

This next 24 will be very important! I work all day, then out to hang in the evening with said friends. So, 24 more PLEASE

Katzen 06-10-2018 10:05 PM

Trying so hard today to resist buying a bottle and drinking. Four more hours until 2 am and no buying booze after 2 am so maybe then I can get some much needed sleep. I’ve been sober for a bit over a month but feeling despair as today I realized my marriage really is over and I fear being alone after 20 years. A drink or two or twenty I don’t have to hide it anymore so I could drink away my sorrow.

Trying to be strong and resist... I HAVE to stay sober. If I can do it just four more hours, hoping to sleep then and feel better about myself tomorrow.

Coldfusion 06-10-2018 10:07 PM

Sober again!

10:07 PM with a cat on my lap.

Well done milestoners.

Endoftheday 06-11-2018 12:00 AM

Another 24 please

PhoenixJ 06-11-2018 12:32 AM

I went to a meet I used to run, and ran it today. A real mix of people- 6 of us from the same recovery program. From 15y, 2y (me), 9m, 2, and sadly relapse (a lady who is very unwell) sober. The good bit is a group of such varied people turning up in the middle of a city- on a public holiday to support each other.

Katzen 06-11-2018 12:44 AM

I did it! Stayed sober all of Sunday... now on to a sober Monday!

Hoping to feel in a better mood tomorrow after getting much needed sleep... I feel happy and proud though I didn’t give into the temptation to buy booze over the weekend and feeling better about myself is really going to help me commit to an alcohol-free life! Congrats and group hug to everyone else who also struggled but didn’t give into the urge!

Gabe1980 06-11-2018 12:44 AM

24 for me please.

Congtratulations to all our milestoners today!! 💗💗💗

(((Snufs))) I'm around for most of today babe. PM anytime and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Love you. It's gonna be alright xxx

That's brilliant Katzen, well done!! The weekends are tough but waking up on a Monday not feeling hungover is well worth it! 😍😍

That sounds great Phoenix. It's good to see everyone come together. There is a big promotion here about running for mental health. I think I'm too unfit just now but it's something to think about for the future!
