Good morning. I’m in!

Congrats to today’s celebrants and all who are sober today.

Hi all. Just returned from my AA bbq, what a lovely afternoon, around 15 people there, all from AA in the surrounding towns. We ate like horses :) Ice creams for pudding, plus my chocolate cake that went down well. It was at a young man from AA parents house, lovely old farmhouse in the country with huge garden, his parents put on a lovely spread of bbq meats, loads of salads and plenty of coke, water, lemonade, and iron bru (for those who like it!) It was truly lovely. Many of us (myself included) came late in life to AA and we are very protective of our young members (don't go back!!!), I think we showed his parents that we aren't a group of weirdo winos but nice normal people. I have a busy week planned, so glad as I need to keep busy.
Sorry some of you are struggling, it will get better, I know that. Keep posting, this is a great family.

Just browsing, not craving, but enjoy the camarade here!

I had a wonderful lunch with my oldest grandson who will be turning 22 this summer. We sat for almost 2 hours (I left the server a great tip :) ) and just chatted away. He's going to school (3pm - 9pm), and working full time (6am - 2pm) so I'm blessed that he made the time to hang out with his grannie. I'm so proud of him! :ValB002:

Stopped off at the store for a few things and even though I saw all the wine and liquor, it didn't push any buttons...it was like seeing the deli counter. Nice feeling.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day! I didn't get as much accomplished as I wanted, but my list is always longer than my day.

Hugs to all!!!

Yeah Bub....lucky for us (you) in Melbourne....the booze is in another part of the store, separate....wish it was that way here....mind you, I am used to it now. Beer with your checkout? No thank you.....

Late check in today, I open the gym where I work on Sundays. It’s actually a nice way to spend my morning. Folks waking up early on Sunday to workout are generally in good spirits. 36 days sober today and committed to 24 more hours of freedom❤️
