Hello wonderful crew. I'm already struggling today to keep the urge to drink silenced, but I stay strong knowing you all are too.

RBJ, I'm sorry about your mom (don't know the whole story) but so glad you are seeing happy and hopeful moments with her.

Dee, also appreciate your post! You're right - today IS a blank page and I choose to fill it with the happiness that can be here without blurring it out by alcohol.

Thank you all. Sending love and strength and happiness for a beautiful day enjoyed truly only with the absence of alcohol!

Sending you love dear dizzy. ♥

Thank you Dee!

It’s a cloudy, wild, soon-to be stormy Spring Saturday in Texas and I can’t express how glad I am to be waking up sober. I feel so much better after a full night’s sleep.

My mother has been through so much pain and suffering the past couple of weeks. But she still smiles when I walk into her room at the rehab place. She is struggling but she has a great attitude. She sees her favorite nurse’s aide and laughs with her. It’s a good sign. She’s got a good chance of getting better. I thank God for this opportunity to help her get stronger. I couldn’t do it drinking—I would disappear into myself.

Today I rest and mess around at home. House is a wreck but it’ll clean up. Might make a little food. Maybe make a lot. :)

Thank you for listening, and I wish you a great day.

Love you Kris ! And all my 24s. A fine sober day.
