Welcome to all who are starting out or starting over this month! Read, post, and spend some time putting together a recovery plan that works best for you. I have been on SR for a few years, and finally figured this out in January. September 1st is 8 months for me and SR has been my biggest support. Looking forward to seeing all of you on SR!!!

You've got this!

An early welcome to all the September folks!! You are worth not picking up and making positive change in your life today. I'm part of the August class and the support I found there is/was instrumental in getting me to say 24 without a drink. C'mon in! The water's fine!!! (And much better for you than alcohol or drugs...)

Question. I am going out to dinner with some co workers tomorrow. Is there a better non alcoholic drink than Coke? Im kinda getting sick of drinking pop, plus its fattening. At home I am drinking water like a crazy person. Im either drinking water or in the bathroom getting rid of it. But out going out to dinner, what do you order to drink?

Caramel 08-31-2016 06:25 PM

Cranberry juice + sparkling water?

Sobersapiens 08-31-2016 06:48 PM

I'm in. Today is day one. Tomorrow will be day two. I commit for the month of September. :c011:

Hello

I found SR today and have been reading posts and articles on the site most of the day. I've been trying to get sober for awhile now on my own, but haven't made it more than a few days here and there. Even now that I realize I have to stop, I have no control, I deserve to be happy (and want to be the best person I can be for myself and others), it's killing me inside and out, ... and so forth ... I'm still failing in social situations. I'll do okay for a couple of days and then think I can handle hanging out with friends, but I end up on a bender...wasted..wasting the next day...wasting my life away.

I could give so many reasons I hate my addiction (like having a broken thumb right now), but I'd be writing a book. I would like to say thank you SR for not making me feel so alone and thank you for the information and tips I've picked up today. I feel like I have a better shot a being successful and have more tools to assist me. I wish all of us a sober, healthy life and keep up the good work :thanks

I'm in....again. I fall off the wagon every time. But every time I learn something new. one of these days I'm going to figure this thing out, before it figures me out.

I'm in. Coming over from Class of August. On day 8 but I know Thursdays are like Fridays for me as I have tomorrow off.

To all the Day Ones, hang on in there. Each day has got a little easier for me and definitely feels worth it.

I'm in, I had a relapse last week as there was alcohol in the house. I quit from today (I didn't drink yesterday but I'm joining this thread now).

Lemon, lime and soda.

I'm in for the September class.

2nd day today, feeling very tired. I remember this tiredness from the last time I gave up. Took my body about a week to readjust.

Something from Dee to make a plan,

Feel like I'm in another roller coaster ride. Hope it keeps going up!

September 2016, may it bring you endless sobriety.
