Day 28 here. Survived an out-of-town work requirement the past two days. Everyone knows how that can go, the norm of dinner and drinks. Well, I had absolutely no desire to drink or go out for dinner. Bought Subway, stayed in my room and watched the NFL draft. Then you hear the struggles of those young men and their backgrounds. We all are just human. Feeling Blessed. "To God Be The Glory" |

I've noticed that my language is changing. I mean the self talk; the head stuff. My thinking is more "does that action/thing/decision/thought support my 'recovery'?" rather than "does it support my 'sobriety'?" It's a subtle distinction but to me an important one. I don't feel like I'm fighting with myself any more, not over drinking at any rate. I'm rambling but I wanted to get it out of my head. Perhaps it would have been better on a blog post. It's done now. Morning check-in at 9:14 AM. Sober, fed and doing laundry. |
